On a day out with Laura in the main gallery of the museum. This is truly an amazing building. The gallery is all iron beams and glass roof, producing a beautiful light for photos and, of course, a wonderful place to meet.

A pair of climbers top out at South Stack, Anglesey. It seemed like nothing was going to come of the evening light with all the cloud cover. However, for about 30 seconds, this glow appeared through a small break. I grabbed the camera off the tripod and took this fleeting shot.

Middleton Top Engine House houses a steam engine formerly used to haul trains up the 700-yard long 1-in-8 (12.5%) gradient of Middleton Incline.
I have suggested that this beautiful fungus is a toothed fungus species but any help would be appreciated. Have had help - Phaeolus schweinitzii- velvet top fungus - thanks to Springwatch group on Facebook

The first film image I made in Zion National Park on my first visit there last October. It was still pretty early in the morning. We had flown in to Las Vegas the night before and driven from there to Hurricane, arriving after midnight. Then the group of us were up and out the door by 7 the next morning to do the hike into The Subway. So I was feeling a little rough around the edges but also infused with more than a fair share of excitement and anticipation to finally see this national park that had been the top of my list for some time.
True to my usual process, I waited to load my cameras until I had the first shot I wanted to make in sight. I do this fairly often as with film, once you are loaded you are mostly committed. And since I didn't have my Hasselblad on this trip with its interchangeable backs and I was going into unfamiliar territory, I didn't know if I was going to be seeing things in color or black and white, scenes suited for low ISOs or high. Plus there is a natural hurdle to making an image when one has to stop and load a camera in order to make the photo. It is sort of a litmus test... "do I want to put this effort into this scene after all?" sort of thing. I often find that the first or last shots on a roll of film stray above average in terms of how I like them, and I think the extra little bit of pressure that comes with making the first or last image helps ensure this.
Anyway, despite the fact that the Subway was the destination and we still had Archangel Falls to pass, and many more incredibly beautiful scenes, it was this quiet little corner that hooked me the first time. Actually I had been enjoying the morning light on the canyon walls above us for several minutes and this quiet bit of stream reflecting the lit walls filled a distinct photographic need for me that morning.

Fui inidicada pela Clau, pela Mayara e pela Gi e não podia deixar de fazer., como foi difícil! Fiz top 10 lá no blog o que deu uma ajuda! Aliás, quem quiser ver 10 dos bonitos large version basta dar um pulo ao Le Vernis.

2 - Nfu Oh 51 - é preciso falar, é lindo, dá para fazer várias combinações, e a cor base é roxa - ou seja perfeição!!
3 - Flying Dragon CG - Roxo neon com glitter azul e rosa, não dispensa top coat, mas nem por isso não merece estar no top!
4 - (Foto do centro) Nfu Oh 559 - teal escuro mais lindo do mundo!
5 - 75 Andreia . O único cintilante da lista, azul diferente e divo
6- Turntable LA Girls - Verde vibrante, mais escuro que na foto, comprei por impulo e amei!
7 - Turquesa BU - Todas conhecem, adorei e repeti muito no Verão!
8 - Groovy Essence - Mais um teal, um pouco mais claro, foi ele que me apaixonou de vez pela Essence
9 - Pink Flamenco - O único rosa do top. Eu gosto, mas há outra cores que fazem meu coração bater mais forte, esse tem um "je ne sais quois" que me fez amar!
10 - 43 Andreia (Foto do centro) Vermelho aberto quase laranja, o meu tipo favorito de vermelho!!
11 - Sereia Impala, o primeiro brasileirinho que desejei muito!! É antigo para vocês, mas só tive o meu em 2010!
12 - Zaza Ellen Gold - Roxo fofo, fácil de passar!
13 - Snowcone Orly - Azul pastel divo!
14 - Jackie Impala - o segundo brasileirinho que me fazia sonhar!
15 - Pucci-licious Color Club - Irmão do Azulle da Ludurana!
Uma menção honrosa para o Gumdrop da Orly, que só não está no Top, porque fiquei sem a foto dele! Mais um motivo para usar de novo!!
Meninas, sei que não tenho estado tanto por aqui, mas é a correria dos últimos tempos! Assim que der eu volto para visitar vocês! Beijo a todas!
