Seriously this is one of my favorite shows on TV and I am not even into cars. The hosts (all 3) are hilarious and their criteria for rating cars of all kinds (sedans to sports, cheap to pricey) really crack me up.

This is my test sample of a black French bulldog, hand sculpted out of gumpaste.
I included a shot of the ruler to give some perspective on just how small he is. Stands approximately 2.25" high (or 5 cm).

The Top Hat is often associated with the Mad Hatter, who in chapter 7 is one of the guests at the tea party. The Hatter has to have tea all day because time has punished him by eternally standing still at 6 pm.

I had bought this fabric from Rosa Pomar's Retrosaria long ago. I just didn't know how to use it. I just love its quality, texture and colours. Only have to work out a few details, but I quite like it.
The lace ribbon I made it myself. It's crochet, thread 12.
My first Hummingbird top! Love that cloverleaf peplum. It's made of a poly/nylon crepe knit that I really don't love, but wanted to test the pattern. I finished it off, since it turned out so beautifully.

The top of the desk from one piece of curly soft maple, it was 12" wide by 2 1/2" thick. I re-sawed it to the final top of 22" deep by 42 inches wide by 1 inch thick. The tiger pattern in the wood is very nice.

I feel like I haven't finished anything in forever, this is still just a top but I'm very pleased with it, and can't believe none of the blocks are set the wrong direction!

Pictures taken @ Top Marques car dealer showroom in Bassano del Grappa, Italy
Les papys du rock ont fait carton plein au zénith de Dijon.
Pour une tournée de seulement quelques dates en France après un passage durant l’été 2012 à l’Olympia les ZZ Top étaient à l’affiche du zénith de Dijon ce 20 juin 2013.
Dans la foule, des jeunes et des moins jeunes ont répondu présents pour vibrer au son de la musique de ce trio de blues-rock 100% Texan.
Composé de Billy Gibbons (guitare), Dusty Hill (basse) et de Frank Beard (batterie), le groupe conserve ce son internationalement reconnaissable aux influences très très américaines.
Petite scène avec écrans, gros lightshow, les chanteurs étaient en super forme et le public totalement conquis.
Petit bémol, seulement 1h20 de spectacle, ça fait un peu court ... pour ceux qui aiment ce groupe qui se produit bien trop rarement en France.

Upcycled.
This top was made using parts of three original garments:
a) a big and loose indian multicolor dress donated by my aunt and whose top had been later torn in the back (by Amelia, our cat!) I've made an A-line skirt with the bottom part of the dress (I'll upload it later).
b) a green eddie bauer cotton knit top, 3/4 sleeve, donated by a former neighbor.
c) a green thrifted vest that was too tight and I deconstructed to upcycle.
This is what I came up with.!
