These are one of the many things that one see when out for a walk. The snow balanced on top of this plant I found fascinating.
British Soldiers lichen growing on top of a wooden post. The red spore-bearing bodies (from the fungus part of this mixture of fungus and algae) are characteristic of this type. The scientific name is Cladonia cristatella.
There seems to be some green algae growing in the depressions of the growth rings.
Wednesday 02 May 2012: Kasımlar - Damla - Kesme - Çaltepe
A lovely village breakfast, then a short hop in the minibus to takes down the steep stretch of road from the top to the bottom of the village of Kasımlar, where we started our onwards descent on foot heading for the bridge over the river Köprüçay. Grey skies overhead, cuckoos calling in the woods, flowers by the roadside. A stroll through meadows and fields, right past the front door of the farm, and on up to the spring/water fountain and cemetery at Yukarı Fındık Kabristanlıgı, 5km from Kasımlar, 7km to go to Kesme.
After a stroll through sheep and goat grazing shrub land, it was up, up, up up along pine forested and rock strewn gully, with rockfaces towering above. We emerged into a green expanse of upland meadow, the perfect setting for a shepherd hut complete with frog filled pond. A great place for a bit of a rest and refuel, with amazing limestone rock formations in the valleys ahead, and stunning views out across to snow covered mountain ridges.
It had been a morning full of flowers: Orchids, Squill / Scilla, Daphne, Daisies, Pansies, Violets, Grape Hyacinth, Clover, Star Thistles / Knapweed, Primroses, Borage (Alkanna aucheriana).
Rested, and entertained by the local goats, we weaved our way down through the karst fairyland, and along bare rock ledges where lizards sunbathed.
We lunched at the spring and natural stone bridge at Damla, where a mother and daughter were looking after sheep, goats and cows. Across the Köprütaş bridge, Mike led us through the mysterious remnants of an ancient civilisation, with a paved pathway leading to a cave with carved portico, and stone building blocks bore carved Manx-like symbols. Skirting clockwise round the hilltop, passing ancient threshing circles, we had stunning views out over the mountain ranges and of the shining minarets of Kesme in the valley below, both demanding lots of photos, none of which really do either any justice.
A tricky bit of navigation for the initially steep descent distracted us from the scenery, and the rain just about held off for our final drop down into another limestone wonderland, parallel ridges of rock looming over alleys of grass, which then widened out encompass freshly ploughed fields on the outskirts of Kesme.
Refreshed by tea, we left Kesme in the minibus, pausing at a village house where ladies were hand spinning goats' hair. Reaching the outskirts of Çaltepe, we turned off the road and drew up at Erdinc and Emine's new chalets, complete with en suite bathrooms and al fresco dining. Lovely, albeit a little cool under cloudy skies. After a wash and putting the camera batteries on to recharge, time for tea and chat before dinner was served - plenty of excellent stuffed aubergine for me. More chat around the fire once night fell, but not a late night with those lovely new beds calling....

Another impressive and more importantly another fully licensed Lamborghini 1/64 diecast by Top Mark. This is a new name to me which I discovered recently which also made me wonder why they aren't more readily available in more countries. Their are some pretty good choices in this range including Jaguar F-Types and various new Range-Rovers which wouldn't look out of place in the Matchbox line up. This Gallardo is well finished in a glossy metallic white colour with accurate detailing all round. Mint and boxed.

This is the first thing (barring some wrap skirts!) that I've made for myself and that has actually worked! It fits perfectly and doesn't make me look too boxy.
It also was a stash bust project! Yay!

A verdade é que não fui indicada por ninguém, mas me senti à vontade para selecionar 10 esmaltinhos queridinhos do ano.
Pensei mais ou menos o que eu queria e não fiquei olhando muito as outras centenas de cores. Se não, eu só acabaria isso em 2013!!!!
Os escolhidos foram (sem ordem de preferência, ok? da esquerda paraa direita):
1. China Glaze Degreess - rosa com brilhos divino! Eu amo China Glaze e poderia ter feito uma seleção só dessa marca!!!!
2. Nfu.Oh 50 - meu primeiro flocado. Meu namorado me deu e fiquei louca com ele. Maravilhoso tb e sem contar que essa embalagem é perfeita.
3. NYX169 - os brilhos são perfeitos! Tudo bem que para tirar é um parto, mas vale a pena. Deixa qualquer esmalte um esmaltão!
4. Revlon Top Speed - quando usei essa cor, fiquei apaixonada... Lindo e dura pra caramba.
5. O divino mais que divino: CHANEL 505, Particuliére - é o marrom café com leite escuro mais fácil de passar e seu brilho é demais. Eu sou louquinha por essa marca e queria colocar todos os que tenho, mas não seria justo com as outras belezinhas...
6. Hippie Chic, Colorama - meu xod[o! Amo essa cor e toda vez que uso alguém me pergunta que cor estou usando. Para mim, o maior acerto da Colorama.
7. Inveja Boa, Risqué - esse foi o primeiro da coleção. lembro que comprei a embalagem com a coleção 7 vermelhos nas Lojas Americanas... Falou em vermelho, penso na Risqué. Ponto final.
8. Met me at Sunset, Essie (coleção Brazilian) - que cor, que brilho, que tudo! A cara do verão 2012!
9. Who the Shrek are you? OPI - primeiro escolhi pq amo miniaturas, segundo pq essa cor fica linda nas unhas. Não dava nada por ela até usar e me apaixonar...
10. Star, Risqué - esse eu amo mesmo. Já estou no 2º vidro e para quem tem MUITOS esmaltes comprar um segundo vidro é pq gosta mesmo!!!

Another impressive little diecast by the fairly obscure Chinese toy company Top Mark. As can be seen by the badging this is a fully licensed model of a BMW Z4 with its pert styling and accurate detailing right down to the interior. This is definitely as good as anything Matchbox can produce and to almost prove this point the packaging looks almost identical to theirs! Mint and boxed.

Segue então meis 15 favoritos... não na ordem de preferência, porque achei muito difícil fazer isso... coloquei totalmente aleatório mesmo... rsrs...
1- Show da Risqué... Na verdade ainda não tenho ele... é da coleção New York (lindíssima a coleção)... passei um que peguei emprestado, mas é lindíssimo e não poderia ficar de fora, por isso fiz um desenhinho bem "paint" alí só pra representar kkkkkk...
2- Lapis Lazuli da Risqué... Dificilmente se encontrará uma cor feia nessa coleção Jóias Místicas... a coleção toda está lindíssima, mas esse é com certeza a minha cor favorita dela... fez com que eu me apaixonasse pelos foscos
3- Menta da Risqué... É da coleção Arábica... maravilhosérrimos nas mãos (ainda não usei nos pés)... não poderia faltar aqui...
4- Pedra Granada da Risqué... Também da coleção Jóias Místicas... ainda não usei ele nas mãos, só nos pés, mas achei lindíssimo!
5- Arábia da Risqué... Também da coleção Arábica... esse ainda não usei nas mãos, só nos pés, mas é maravilhoso, além de ser bem outono-inverno e eu adoro cores assim...
6- Apuro Violeta da Risqué... É da coleção Penélope Charmosa... eu comprei os oito e confesso que no vidrinho não me chamou a atenção... mas usei recentemente e amei... três demãos ficam perfeitas nas mãos... um arraso...
7- Cabaret da Risqué... Da coleção New York... ele é um vermelho meio vinho... coisa mais baphônica do mundo... só passei nos pés, mas pretendo passar nas mãos em breve...
8- New York da Risqué... Também da coleção New York... é um cinza chumbo bem escuro quase preto... maravilhosérrimo... eu mesma ainda não usei, mas vi nas mãos de uma amiga do trabalho e me apaixonei!
9- Grão de Café da Risqué... Da coleção Arábica (dificíl achar um esmalte feia nessa coleção também... ela é puro poder)... é bem da cor da fruta do café... aquele vermelhinho meio rosado bem escuro... amo essa cor e modéstias pra PQP, ficou lindíssimo nas minhas mãos morenas :D
10- Doce Orgulho da Risqué... É de uma coleção linda também... Sete Vermelhos Capitais... amei essa coleção e ela ainda vem com bolsinha kkkk... eu amo bolsinhas... sou viciada em kits com mimos :P... é um vermelho lindo... Na verdade acho que os outros sete vermelhos ficam mais bonitos se você combinar pelo menos dois deles, mas o Doce Orgulho fica ótimo sozinho!
11- Carbono da Colorama... É da coleção Urban, pra mim, a mais bonita da Colorama... Não há um consenso sobre que cor é o Carbono kkk... alguns dizem ser preto, outros dizem ser um verde meio azul petróleo... enfim, não importa... ele é lindíssimo...
12- Absinto da Colorama... Também da coleção Urban... um verdinho doce lindo... super delicado e poderoso ao mesmo tempo... gosto de esmaltes dicotômicos assim...
13- Arranha-Céu da Colorama... Tambem da coleção Urban (eu disse que é a melhor coleção da Colorama rrss)... usei só uma vez nas mãos e amei...
14- Audrey da Impala... super inverno e de fácil cobertura... achei lindo!
15- Sereia da Impala... É um verde lindo (há quem diga que é azul, mas pra mim é verde kkk)... é da coleção Aqua... na minha opinião o mais bonito da coleção... na verdade, o mais bonito da Impala rsrs...
Bem, esses são os quinze esmaltes que eu mais gosto... E qual será os quinze esmaltes preferidos das minhas quinze amigas tageadas aí ao lado???
