This dolmen is thought to date from 2,500 BC, it is located in a stunning valley. close by is a stream which gives you a perfect soundtrack to view this superb site. The structure consists of twin portal stones and a door stone supporting a massive capstone. the hight of the dolmen is 11 ft and the capstone weighs around 45 tons. On the top of the capstone are two deep channels which run to the side, if the capstone was used as a druids altar these may have been of use to release the flow of blood from a human sacrifice or maybe they were just rain drains.
if you do visit this site remember it is at the back of a private residence so please ask first. my thanks to our own "Stonemason" who's great site www.megalithicireland.com/index.html made finding this dolmen very easy.
I finished up the value quilt top today! I am really loving it so far! I think I will straight line quilt it. Now that I'm comfortable with my walking foot, I want to play around with straight quilting a little!
Almost all my points match, which makes me quite happy because I did not take the time to trim down every HST block. It just takes too long!!
Michael has become my go-to quilt holder-upper! :D
Found this lovely lace finished top earlier, it was rude not too. One question though, does my bum look big in these jeans ??
A slightly different view at Top Locks, because I want to show you where the Pub is. Cross the little footbridge here and then on the other side of the Canal is "The Ship Inn"
Decent Food and Proper Beer available, recommended
This view lets you see the layout of the castle.

My consulting of the map in Woking library took me to a farm on Horsell Common (the aliens landed there, don't you know?) which was used as Top Deck's maintenance base. On arrival, the first vehicle I met was WVX527F, the former-Eastern National extra long FLF that I'd encountered at Martlands two months before. And what a transformation! The grubby, wax-covered bus had now been cleaned for another season of touring, and it looked great. Staff were busy cleaning the inside ready for its next contingent of happy travellers.
Says he climbed up the antenna for a better view, then blamed me?! Whatever.
Day 347 (updated)
Sorry for the second version. Thanks to some very noisy neighbors at the motel last night, I had time to re-hash this image in my head throughout the night.
Seats on top, but even Ensignbus, renowned for their efforts at shifting crowds such as rail replacement might be overwhelmed here.
Imberbus 2023 & the crowds enjoy a vintage run in the countryside around Imber, part of the Ministry of Defence, opened up for the annual Imberbus.
Q.1: What would you say is your best feature?
A: "My skin, for sure. I have no scares, moles, freckles, pimples or sun damage; it's completely clear, and I stay healthy to keep it that way."
Q.2: What makes your body and image unique?
A: "Well, put it this way; I can where anything and in any way. Also, I'm very tall and slender... with a big head, I think."
**(Sorry about this photo. There seems to be more focus on the nasty-looking, weed-infested background than the doll. I was going to redo it today but it's raining outside)**
