Paisley's tooth is just about to fall out and she's completely freaking out. she doesn't want to eat, drink, brush her teeth, or do anything that might make it fall out, it's pretty crazy. and gross.
Cornflower (Centaurea cyanus)
Like all flowerheads in the Daisy Family, this is protected by sepal-like bracts or phyllaries, and this is typical of Centaurea with that having a distinctive tip. This is deeply toothed and very dark in the species.
For my 100x project where x = plant defences and protection.
"Scabs" O'Callahan had to see the dentist after getting a tooth knocked out while watching his favorite punk band, Miami Vise Grips. It didn't seem to bother him too much, since he is a rough and tough punk rocker himself. He is the guitar player for The Devil's Eggs.
A fossil replica of a Megalodon's Tooth which is in my BB collection.

Sweet Tooth's truck, as seen in the Twisted Metal TV series. Not really shown in the pics, but the inside of the truck also holds a Napalm Cone as well as Harold.
I was a huge fan of the PS1 games as a kid and I've been having a blast with the TV series. Highly recommend.
We have just retuned from a week in the stunning Cairngorms, the weather wasn't great but we made the most of it none the less.
Here is one of the species of fungi we thought we may be a little late for. With some advice from a friend we managed to find a few specimens of this Devils Tooth, fortunately this one was still in good shape!
We then bumped into a very nice chap who turned out to be a local recorder of toothed fungi. He proceeded to show us dozens more specimens and half a dozen more species of toothed fungi. Unfortunately they had all gone their best but he invited us back up in the coming years and promised to show us around. He has also sent us an excellent guide he co-wrote to toothed fungi of the Cairngorms.

A close-up capture of this new Geum in our garden. A hardy perennial, it flowers every year.
Geums are familiar favourites in herbaceous borders, although they also work well in larger rock gardens, developing into mounds of neat, dense foliage. They need a little space for their flowers, which tend to be produced on long, spreading stems.
Geum ‘Savanna Sunset’ is acompact clump-forming perennial to 45cm tall with hairy, mid-green toothed and lobed basal leaves. Reddish stems bear coppery-red flower buds that open to semi-double, lightly-frilled pale apricot flowers deeping to coppery apricot in the centre, from late spring to summer
Taken with my Canon EOS 7D and Canon EF 18-135mmf/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens, and framed in Photoshop.

Finn just lost his first baby tooth, these are the gifts the tooth fairy left him in exchange for his teeny tiny tooth that she will add to her tooth castle in the sky.
A tiny sliver fairy.
A tiny fairy note, in mirror writing.
and a 2 dollar bill..very lucky!
Aria taking a break in the front yard to chew on some wood. Our deck almost always has several branches on it - jaw exercise that Aria brings up. Pippin tends to prefer bones...

3am folks, that’s when Ella decides to let us know that her tooth came out.
Grandkids, you gotta love ‘em.
Wrestled this one away from the tooth fairy.... human ivory by candle light
Photographed for Macro Monday Redux 2017- My favorite theme of the year - chosen theme is Lit by Candlelight from Monday 12/18/2017
This is how a 7 year-old explains to the Tooth Fairy why yesterday's tooth is not under his pillow. Considerate. At least, now the Tooth Fairy knows where to start the search.
Martin saw our GP on Monday, he had developed a chest infection after Covid & it wasn't resolving with a course of standard Amoxicillin. As I was waiting in the pharmacy for different antibiotics & nebules to be dispensed, I noticed this product on the shelf & thought to myself "oh that's perfect for Saturday Self Challenge theme Teeth". The staff must have thought I was mad taking a quick iPhone shot of their dental display 😄
That is what I love about the various day themed groups, they keep your brain (and eyes) on the look out for photo opportunities. Who knew temporary tooth fillings even existed, I certainly didn't.

Barbets are powerful looking birds for their size: a colourful large head on a stocky body with what seems an oversized bill with a 'tooth' or notch. The Double-toothed Barbet as the name suggests goes one step further to have two notches on the bill an indication of the diet which includes fruits, nuts, insects and sometimes lizards, frogs and geckos.
A tough but beautiful little bird which we were delighted to find at Lake Tana near Bahar Dar Ethiopia, the eastern end of its range which stretches across the north of sub-Saharan Africa.
