My father had the first tool box he ever had when he first became a Carpenter. I rememnber all of these tools and the almost identical tool box. Strange to think this one was in a museum.
Lean Manufacturing Tools
smartmanagement.info/lean-management.html
Lean manufacturing is the implementation of the concept that anything that does not create value in the product is to be eliminated. It is the concept of more value for less work. As trained industrial engineers, it seems pretty basic to us. Its simplicity iswhat makes it work. While the Japanese are rightfully given credit for re-vitalizing the concept of lean, its roots really go back to Frederick Winslow Taylor of Bethlehem Steel in the 1880s and 1890s.Then it was called “Scientific Management.”
2005 - My grandpa died the summer of 2005, he was a carpenter and worked in his woodshop even past retirement. I took photos of his workshop before we cleaned it out.
A Haas tool release piston assembly poses for its close-up prior to installation. These units release the toolholder from the spindle taper at a precise moment during an automated tool change. They are crucial to quick tool changer operation, and are engineered by Haas for maximum reliability and efficiency.
Miniature garden tools which form part of 'Cathy's Flower House', a model I am making. To give you an idea of scale the watering can is 23mm tall and the trowel 25mm long.
This is the same model which I posted the instructions at www.flickr.com/photos/bruce82/52649992617/in/dateposted/ to illustrate 54 of 123 pictures in 2023 - Instruction.

They are space great for Brooks style saddle loops but will strap on any saddle, handlebars, racks, toptubes, pretty much any where you wanna stick it. And, they come stocked with Full Size tools!! From the tiniest Park allen wrench up to 8mm, 8-11 mm box style Park wrenches, Topeak full sized chain tool, two Tire levers, a green spoke wrench and even that chainring bolt tool no one ever has around! Also has little bungees for keepin a tube of your choice in the roll. I couldn't be more excited on how these came out, Elias at Lemolo is amazing and really nailed this. They are $120 fully loaded with tools and ready to ship.
Just a tool's workbench, isn't it?. what's the magic with that?.
Well, when i made that shot, the garage was completely surrounded by darkness.
Only a little torch on my hand, camera on tripod, shutter opened and side light painting, moving torch in circles to achieve that smooth shadows. If you see it full size you'll discover plenty of details, textures, and mood, special mood.
That technique (light painting) it's great for still life. You know, photography it's all about light, and the right amount and direction of light can transform an ordinary subject - as those old tools - in something different, special, cool.
This week I'll show you some samples I made on a workshop using this technique, working on different common objects: lamps, machinery, tools.
That's another way of composing still life creations, far away from fruits, bottles and flowers.
For me, the most important challenge to reach this kind of photographs it's to arrange all that stuff in an attractive way, and it's a hard work!!!. I must study a lot of theory on composition's rules, and also light's physics, but , meanwhile, i'm enjoying walking the path.

Brass/bronze braze welding on this went very poorly. On the two large diameter rods the brass wet out well but on the two small rods it was a huge struggle. This tool was made from scrap . I suspect the small rods are stainless steel of some sort.
One of the tool boxes I keep for work in the back of my van. It holds most of my basic hand tools I need for work. I got the tool box from an estate of a cabinet maker and it fits my needs better than any other that I have had. I also carry a canvas tool bag which I use to carry tools and small supplies to where I need them on the job site.
One for my collection of pics showing how different tradesmen have widely varying types of basic tool outfits.
This one belongs to the lead guy of a 2-man crew that installed our new heat pump.
Not a whole lot of organization to it. But as they say, "I know just where everything is."
Astronauts from five space agencies around the world take part in ESA’s CAVES training course– Cooperative Adventure for Valuing and Exercising human behaviour and performance Skills.
The three-week course prepares astronauts to work safely and effectively in multicultural teams in an environment where safety is critical.
As they explore caves they encounter caverns, underground lakes and strange microscopic life. They test new technology and conduct science – just as if they were living on the International Space Station.
The six astronauts have to rely on their own skills, teamwork and ground control to achieve their mission goals – the course is designed to foster effective communication, decision-making, problem-solving, leadership and team dynamics.
The six cavenauts of this edition of CAVES are ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst, NASA astronauts Joe Acaba and Jeanette Epps, Roscosmos’ cosmonaut Nikolai Chub, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Josh Kutryk and Japan’s space agency Takuya Onishi.

This is The Inhuman Tool, arch nemesis of The Human Tool. He has the ability to absorb powers from any model that he tears a piece off of. In this case, he’s taken from the Stairfighter and gained flight capability and enhanced strength from reinforced struts on his limbs.
The Inhuman Tool originally served as the first Human Tool, but after reaching his full potential as a hero and graduating to the rarest and most powerful green separators, his hunger for even more power warped him into something evil. Now he’ll stop at nothing to absorb power from all Lego models in creation.
