A sampling of the tools of my craft.

This isn't everything, but it's a good representative of gear I use on light shoots or location shoots. Most of this is what's usually in my kit bag.

Just mysteriously lying around.

Note on reverse "2 Fleischer, 1 Serbe, Schlachterei, Weltkrieg 1915/18. Leopold".

A pair of Austrian butchers and a local, pose with the tools of their trade and a large Kolubara bull, common to Northern Serbia in the area around the Upper Kolubara River.

The spiked hammer being held by the slaughterman on the left looks to be a purpose built tool used to stun the animal and render it unconscious before it has it's throat cut. More commonly, the back of an axe was used.

In July, my wife and I joined family to see the Historic Crab Orchard Museum in Tazewell, VA. Here is a scene from the Carpenter's Shop.

The sign on the Carpenter's Shop reads...

"Carpenter's Shop

Most early pioneers were skilled in carpentry, since homes, barns, and workshops were usually wooden.

Many days were spent in the forest using hand saws and axes to cut large trees for walls, boards, and shingles. Strong horses with ropes could be used to drag the large trimmed logs to the building site.

At the building site, tools of precision were used, such as the broad axe to hew out logs for walls, the froe to split shingles or shakes for the roofs, and the auger, used to drill holes for pegs, which essentially help hold the structure together.

More experienced carpenters had shops for their business, displaying expertise in making the finer wooden products. A farmer could trade livestock or fresh vegetables for basic furnishings such as doors, tables, and chairs. Using precision tools such as a hand plane or chisel, more admirable pieces like walnut hutches, chestnut mantles, or spinning wheels were fashioned."

While we were at Hatfield Farm, we explored and found some tools hanging around.

these are all I use for my paper dolls, and I am as fast as Verizon FIOS.

About 1.5 hours ago I thought ' I wonder how the tools my mum bought me work?' Brilliantly is the answer, can't recommend them enough. Made by an Italian company called RGM and found in a tiny village art shop in North Dorset. They cut like butter and you don't even need to warm the lino. Had to share but now I have to go back to doing what I was supposed to be doing, which is the housework ;-(

PS Yes, that is the washing machine bottom left. Still working over the kitchen sink and its now covered in bits of lino lol

The camp's tools and weapons won't repair themselves.

Hello, this was an idea that came up to make a distraction free writing tool with my old ipod touch and a bluetooth keyboard, i attached a selfie stick to the keyboard and voila, a really nice distraction free gadget, i use the write app. This little ipod has no internet connection, so it does the job well :) .

Your honest critique is very much welcome. Thank you.
