Just wanted to upload this fun little photo from a shoot me and my best friend did a couple weeks ago for fun! We were inspired by ridiculous hipster UO lookbooks...and Terry Richardson's lighting style haha.

Tissue & Crepe Paper Doll
I purchased a decorative dress form for my best friend as a gift and this is how I wrapped it.
I used them to pretend I'm Martha Stewart and make poofy balls of tissue paper to decorate for Georgia's birthday party.
I was asked to make a replica of this figure... I did so out of chocolate cake. =)
Mine's the one on the right.

This piece was created using lots of stencils I have designed and cut by hand in my studio for a stunning mixed media effect full of layers and texture.
I added acrylics, pastels, origami paper, ink and pencil.

Gifts for my daughter's two main teachers, I made them each an ornament and they will be accompanied by handmade cards.
My first try at a cupcake bouquet for a very dear friend of mine. I love this idea because you can do so much with it!
I don't think I'm quite done with the ornaments, but I'm still waiting for inspiration to strike.

Color-photocopy on tracing paper over collage of black and white vintage ephemera. Approx 3 x 3 inches.
At the neck is a paper necklace with black construction paper 'ribbon' around the neck holding a large gold foil embossed charm (from my candy bar wrapper) dangling a gray pearlized drop pendant (gray card from frozen pizza packaging.) Fichue of parchment visible over the shoulders and sporting iridescent painted lace on its edges.

January 20, 2007 My first attempt at origami for the Weekly Scavenger Hunt at The World Through my Eyes group. Think I need a lot more practise
I have stuck tissue paper round this wooden spoon, wound wire threaded with beads round the handle, a moulded mask covered with foil
I had to cut out certain shapes that were similar shapes to the models stance. Gluing them down in order, I then had to draw the male model over it, leveling some of the drawing with the size and length of the purple paper. It was quite difficult to cut out the shapes and placing them in order, but was quite fun exploring another way to draw using cut out shapes.
Unnecessary pencil alignment marks. Both the outside frame and the inset frame were cut from the same die ... thus they match up [or are supposed to] along the inside edges.
