from the early 1900's up till 1950 the timetables looked like the 1948 cover just alternating in colour from year to year in 1953 this etching appeared from a photo of the sunshine express
had to change the colours to make the writing stand out, it says "shit timetable" which i do have to agree with
This artwork is on the Central Gardens apartment building (cnr Wells and Dorcas in South Melbourne).
Commissioned by the owners of the building, it's a glass mosaic in recognition of the site's history.
It depicts tram driver Bill Sires and conductor Irene Stephens, in 1967. The artists of the piece are David Jack and Joe Attard.
Taken on Fujifilm Neopan 1600 with a Minolta SRT-Super equipped with a 50mm f/1.4 lens.
