I mentioned I was on Mt Tam trying out some time-lapse video of the fog...... well here it is... kind of. I'm not sure why Flickr limits video to 1:30??? Anyway- I shot 2700 photo's on my 5D and slammed them together to make this short video. It's actually 1:50 so you can't see the last 20 secs. I'm off to Oregon tomorrow to try time-lapse night photography at John Day Fossil beds. I'm hoping to get better at this. I love photography and this is an awesome media -in between- pictures and video. You can convey a real sense of awe and space with moving pictures (literally) and music...... exciting!
I let this beautiful sunset sneak up on me. I looked out the window today to realize an opportunity was being missed. Thankfully I am ready to roll out and timelapse at a moments notice.

Scratch League Bowling
My ankle was still jacked up so I didn't bowl again. I decided to hang out anyway and support my team.
Brought the Canon TX1 w/ CHDK, attached it to a GorillaPod SLR, and mounted it to the bench seat.
Ended up with around 430 photos within a span of an hour. Resized and set framerate to 15fps w/ VirtualDub.
Edited with Sony Vegas and rendered to 720P 6Mbps WMVHD.

A timelapse image of ice melting over about 100 minutes.
Annoyingly the camera ran out of power before the ice had completely melted! I'll remember to fully charge my battery next time.
I used the Canon Remote shooting software to capture the images and VirtualDub to stitch them into a movie.
Very cliché I know but (sort of) first attempt. Trying to think of something more ambitious for the future.
The image sequence was processed in Lightroom with crop, noise reduction, fill light and gradient exposure filter over the sky to give the next image:. This was used in the Timelapse that appears here: vimeo.com/31177420
Boring timelapse of incoming storm Jan 4, 2023, 16:13 - 17:25 PT. Canon SX710, 40mm EFL, 2s interval except the very end when exposure got long. Exposure control with CHDK rawopint.lua
