Inspired by some of the flashlight painting I have been seeing (and trying) I busted out my laser for a little timelapse fun.
My second attempt at a proper timelapse sequence.
The sequence was shot on Scotforth Rd near to Abbeystead, Lancashire, overlooking Morecambe bay. You can just make out the Isle of Man on the horizon as the sun dissappears.
The pictures were taken 1 every 5 seconds for nearly 2 hours. It was only approaching the end I realised that the sunset would be missed due to camera positioning which is why the clip is so short. I planned for a 30 second video of the sunset however due to not having the positioning correct it hasn't worked out that way.
The jump near the end was me catching the camera causing the shift in positioning.
Shot using a Canon 7D with 15-85mm lens. Processed in After Effects and Premier Pro.

I've shot a number of different timelapses over the summer for different productions, so I decided to throw them all together in a quick little edit.
Thanks to Toby Bennett for helping me shoot the intro.
We wanted to foley all the audio on that... but then it might only be ready by next summer :)
These shots are from our productions in Greece, Antigua, Morocco, South Africa and the UK.
Mostly shot on the 550D and 60D with a few on the Go-Pro.
Thanks for watching

From GoPro Timelapse shoot Sunday morning. We mounted the GoPro Hero on the hood of my car and cruised through downtown and Memorial Park in Houston.

Third timelapse with the GoPro Hero. This time Jake and I cowboyed up and mounted in on the hood of the car to catch the sunrise while driving through downtown. Although we mounted it on the hood, I rigged a safety leash from the mount to the wiper to give me some insurance.
I set the GoPro to take an image once every two seconds as we crused East bound to the downtown and then West to Memorial Park to catch the runners.

This timelapse was taken out the window of my flat - we're on the eighth story of our building so we've got a pretty nice view of the city. I put the focus on the window rather than the street outside because at the time I started it, it was raining and I wanted the focus to be on the raindrops. The mesh/wire in our windows gives the video something to focus on after the raindrops dry off. If I were to do it again, I would not be so impatient and would wait a few minutes longer before stopping my phone filming.
