How time flies, especially when the seconds hand is going backwards...
Trying out Flickr's funky new video thingy with a "quick" time lapse; close to 200 images taken over nearly 3 hours for 7 seconds of video!
*321/365 Had some pretty crazy looking clouds roll through this morning so I decided to make a little timelapse! Pretty moody but the clouds were epic!

I found a cheap wired intervalometer that works with the A7, and went down to the Thames to try it out.

For all you flickrites! Here's my latest testing of the openmoco prototype dolly. 5x 2ev bracket set on k10d to batch process in photomatix (32bpc exr only (no TMO in matix, bad for timelapse IMHO)) to post process AE (atlas minning.de, curves, levels) = this result!

720 myndir teknar á 2 tímum og renderaðar í lightroom í timelapse.
Þetta var smá tilraun í að reyna að lýsa þetta rétt en það getur verðið allt upp í 20 stoppa munur frá því að sólin sest þar til hún kemur aftur upp, þannig að ég undirlýsti um 6 stopp setti svo 3 stoppa filter á allt og svo 3 stoppa softgrad á himininn.
Flickr fer ekki vel með video vegna þjöppunar þannig að hérna er linkur á youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Exc1ve-hbc&feature=plcp

720 pictures taken in 2 hours. Rendered to timelapse in Lightroom. This was a little experiment in trying to expose it properly but it can be up to 20 stop difference from the time sun goes down until it comes back up, so I underexposed by 6 stops, added a 3 stop filter and 3 stop soft grad on the sky. Flickr does not treat video files well because of the compression so here is a link on youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Exc1ve-hbc&feature=plcp
Remember to put it in HD

Jaarlijks wordt er een tuinparty georganiseerd in de tuin van ons appartementen complex, het perfecte moment om van mijn balkon een tilt shift timelapse op te nemen.
--
Every year we organise a gardenparty in the garden of our residence, this is the perfect moment to use my elevated position of my balcony to record a timelapse.
Technique
Camera with a fresh battery on sturdy tripod, empty SD card of 8GB, interval trigger attached to take a picture every 2 seconds. Picture were stored as jpeg high resolution, fine compression.
1208 pictures later my card was full...
First picture: 14:02:44
Last picture: 14:42:58
Loaded in Lightroom 3, edited first picture: added 3 graduated filters with Sharpness -100 to created the tilt shift effect (top, under, left) Boosted clarity, vibrance, saturation and cropped the gutter at the bottom of the picture.
Pasted these settings to the other 1208 pictures. This took about 10 minutes.
In the slideshow module created with my 24 fps timelapse preset the video, 1 minute of work for me, 7 hours of work of my computer later the video was created.
Differences with the previous timelapse: 2 seconds, much more different light conditions, stored jpg high resolution, that's why my memory card was so full so quick. This was the tryout for the main event.
Notes for next time
Don't use autofocus, during the timelapse you can notice a slight change in crop, this is due to the autofocus who focuses on something else.
Anything else? Please let me know
