with apologies to Walter White.... whose job is clearly safe from me ;)
I saw this crystal kit (as seen below) a few weeks ago, and immediately thought that it could be a cool time-lapse project. The description on the package stated that the crystals would begin to grow within 24 hrs, and reach completion in 12-15 days; so you could say I experienced some 'crystal blue persuasion'..... However, despite having scrupulously followed the instructions, this is what I ended up with, 3.5 weeks and 3500+ shutter actuations later - nothing at all like the illustration!!! I suspect that some dust/vapor must have arisen from the vessel, and settled/condensed on the exterior, and that is where the crystal growth, such as it is, happened.
Flickr doesn't always handle video very well; it may get the hiccups from time to time, and stutter as the video plays, even though I converted it to 720p to facilitate smoother play-back.

Today found a great easy to follow tutorial for use in a part of my work in progress timelapse project. Stacking startrails comes easy enough now but spinning them was a new trick, love it when a plan comes together.

The shadow plays an important role even in a timelapse video. This was a short test to see the effect.

Este es mi segundo timelapse (el primero fue para tantear un poco el terreno, no le puse ni música y duraba 6s). Espero que os guste.
