Taken February 11, 2023 at sunrise in Nanaimo, BC.

This was taken between 10:00 pm and 11:30 pm during a full moon from the Sun Top lookout near Mount Rainier. I had never tried night photography during a full moon because the stars are so washed out but I was intrigued by the possibilities of lower ISO's and nicely lit landscapes. I was so surprised at how lit up everything was. The stars were faint but the landscapes were clear and vibrant.

I've not done many time lapses but it seemed like an ideal opportunity with the high sweeping clouds. This was 230 20-second exposures processed in LRTLightroom at 24 frames/second.

This is my first attempt at a Milky Way timelapse, taken over Clovelly Estates Vineyard at Moffatdale, Queensland. It took about 3 hours and only stopped when the camera battery died. Each frame was shot at 25 sec, f/4, ISO 6400 at 16mm using the Canon EF 16-35mm f/4 IS USM lens on my old Canon EOS 6D camera. I'm going to call the experiment a success and one day incorporate another Milky Way time lapse into a more ambitious time lapse movie.

Canon 100d

Canon7d

Lentes: Tokina 11-16mm f2,8/Canon 15-85mm f 3,5/Canon 50 mm f1,8.

[NO] Timelapse-video satt sammen av 399 bilder.

Timelapse of a thunderstorm over Denver 6/9/2016

I've been really interested in doing more and more night photography lately. This was my first successful night timelapse. I had an extra battery with a full charge so the last night of my backpacking trip I set up the camera to take photos for as long as the battery lasted. I think I ended up with about 300 frames which I combined into a little movie! I hope to do more of this kind of stuff in the future. I wasn't sure if it would come out with the moon rising up in the sky but the exposre worked out just fine.

Filmed outside the window in our lodge in Kings Canyon. The absence of light at night made a fantastic view at the stars (and the milky way) possible. This in-camera timelapse is based on pictures shot 10 sec at ISO 3200, f/2.8. Try that out at your homw. The picture will be most probably completely overexposed...

We were having our rear porch replaced and a deck added so I thought I would give one of last year's Christmas gifts a workout. I received an Aputure Intervalometer last Christmas and hadn't found a good time to use it til now. Camera was set on a tripod and positioned looking out our rear door. The first part is taken thru the glass on the back door and the second half the camera was moved to the new rear porch to look down on the deck construction. Entire construction took approx 14 hours more or less. The video was made by combining the individual shots at the rate of 3 fps.

Was back down the beach experimenting with the old timelapse again. It is a pretty complex gig this. Having to use manual settings and allow for how the light is going to be for the next 15-20 mins. I am happy with the lack of "jerkiness" i got last time. I think its cause I went fully manual. I was trying to get a silhouette feeling of the jetty, as I have decided to mix some light painting, stills, film and timelpase to make a bit of a story about the jetty.

I lugged my dolly rig down there, then realised the brand new battery I bought had lunched itself, it was all bulged out at the seems and insanely hot like it was about to explode!!!!!

Anyway, there will more to come, just want to make this a fully fledged record of the journey for me. hope its not to boring. Chow

I'm such a video noob. My feeble attempt at trying my hand at an iPhone6 timelapse video from the comfort of my hotel room on the 27th floor.

It's fun to try, so I might give it another go when I get inspired by another one of those Casey Neistat vlogs. If you don't know who Casey is, look him up on YouTube. Pure genius!

We got very lucky here in Brisbane last night -- even though it rained all day and was looking very overcast at sunset, the clouds cleared just in time for the lunar eclipse (although they did float past occasionally, which accounts for some of the gaps in this photo).

This was shot from the jetty at Shorncliffe and is a timelapse from the beginning of the eclipse (at roughly 9.30pm) through until full eclipse at 12.30am, at which point I went home and collapsed in bed!

It's my first-ever timelapse! Done by hand and far from technically perfect. It's not every day that the sun and moon set at nearly the same time, so I wanted to try something new. Enjoy and Replay!

Aboutme

A sunset timelapse on the American River east of Watt Ave in Sacramento, CA. This beach location is now available due to the low water level. The gopro H2 was set to 2-sec intervals for about 40 minutes of sky. There's about 1,200 slides for this presentation. I hope you enjoy!
