Timelapse of the Aurora Borealis on 7th October 2015 from the slopes of Slemish

Canon 100d

Canon7d

Lentes: Tokina 11-16mm f2,8/Canon 15-85mm f 3,5/Canon 50 mm f1,8.

TimeLapse of a huge Thunderstorm passing very close...

[NO] Timelapse-video satt sammen av 399 bilder.

Time Lapse of the Milky Way. This was my first attempt at time lapse, so there is room for improvement.

schizophrenic Clouds

Filmed outside the window in our lodge in Kings Canyon. The absence of light at night made a fantastic view at the stars (and the milky way) possible. This in-camera timelapse is based on pictures shot 10 sec at ISO 3200, f/2.8. Try that out at your homw. The picture will be most probably completely overexposed...

After a quick 1 inch snowfall last night, this ~3 hour timelapse captures the power of the mid-March sun. The snowmelt starts slowly but accelerates by the end of this short clip. My elevation is just above 6000 feet. Taken through my deck window.

I've been really interested in doing more and more night photography lately. This was my first successful night timelapse. I had an extra battery with a full charge so the last night of my backpacking trip I set up the camera to take photos for as long as the battery lasted. I think I ended up with about 300 frames which I combined into a little movie! I hope to do more of this kind of stuff in the future. I wasn't sure if it would come out with the moon rising up in the sky but the exposre worked out just fine.

This timelapse has a lot going on - planes, clouds, moonrise. It ranges from around 7:41 p.m. through 11:30, 422 frames exposed at ISO 1600, 30 sec. @ F2.8, Canon 5D III with 14mm. In fact, you'll see some lens flare from the moon about half way through. I used software called LRTimelapse to make some adjustments and add the "Ken Burns" movement effect panning the camera right to left and up to down so you can see more of the foreground as the moonlight lights it up. The light on the horizon at left is most likely from Las Vegas, some 80 miles away. I'm not sure about the light on the right - by the map it would be Laughlin and Bullhead City, I believe.
