Time Lapse of the Milky Way. This was my first attempt at time lapse, so there is room for improvement.

The sunset on Gibraltar from El Higueron viewpoint. Enjoy the almost 30 seconds.

Tried out a new app while having a fun mech building session.

After a long haul up an icy grains-gill I sat and enjoyed the views with a flask of soup :-)

// Shame on you Flickr for your LAME 90sec video limit restriction! You are falling behind the times...have you not heard about the HDSLR revolution?!? You need to get with it, or prepare for a mass migration away from Flickr for motion content.

Taken February 11, 2023 at sunrise in Nanaimo, BC.

This was taken between 10:00 pm and 11:30 pm during a full moon from the Sun Top lookout near Mount Rainier. I had never tried night photography during a full moon because the stars are so washed out but I was intrigued by the possibilities of lower ISO's and nicely lit landscapes. I was so surprised at how lit up everything was. The stars were faint but the landscapes were clear and vibrant.

I've not done many time lapses but it seemed like an ideal opportunity with the high sweeping clouds. This was 230 20-second exposures processed in LRTLightroom at 24 frames/second.

No stars for a Time-lapse recently, so I decided to make a candle burning lapse.

I've been really interested in doing more and more night photography lately. This was my first successful night timelapse. I had an extra battery with a full charge so the last night of my backpacking trip I set up the camera to take photos for as long as the battery lasted. I think I ended up with about 300 frames which I combined into a little movie! I hope to do more of this kind of stuff in the future. I wasn't sure if it would come out with the moon rising up in the sky but the exposre worked out just fine.

Filmed outside the window in our lodge in Kings Canyon. The absence of light at night made a fantastic view at the stars (and the milky way) possible. This in-camera timelapse is based on pictures shot 10 sec at ISO 3200, f/2.8. Try that out at your homw. The picture will be most probably completely overexposed...
