I also feel during this time that we have to open our eyes to what is happening in the USA and try and protect our children, who are suffering terribly during this Coronavirus pandemic and who will have to clean everything up in the future. This spreading of fear and hate has to stop, spread the love, my friends!

Quotes from:
Inter-Parliamentary Union For Democracy For Everyone
Democracy doesn't recognize east or west; democracy is simply people's will. Therefore, I do not acknowledge that there are various models of democracy; there is just democracy itself.
Albert Moravia
Peace cannot exist without justice, justice cannot exist without fairness, fairness cannot exist without development, development cannot exist without democracy, democracy cannot exist without respect for the identity and worth of cultures and peoples.

After an extended battle that hit Staff Sergeant Jasper's squad with withering acorn fire, the insurgent squirrels finally retreated. Word over the radio is that they're two klicks to the North.
A reporter for Time magazine was on the front lines with Jasper's squad covering the battle and they decided to put Jasper on the cover for next week's issue! We're so proud of him. I hope I don't get in trouble for sharing the cover a little early

Sumatran Tiger

Number remaining: fewer than 600
This small tiger has lived only in Sumatra for a million years, making it hard to escape human expansion. Most survivors dwell in reserves, but about 100 live beyond the borders of the protected areas.

I think the new camera can have an impact on the way people live. I hope it can become a natural part of people. It can make a person pause in his rush through life. It will help him to focus himself on some aspect of life, and in the process, enrich his life at that moment. This happens as you focus through the view finder. It's not merely the camera you are focusing; you are focusing yourself. That's an integration of your personality, right that second. Then when you touch the button, what's inside you comes out. It's the most basic form of creativity. Part of you is now permanent...Photography can teach people to look, to feel, to remember in a way that they didn't know they could.

A new tribute in oils by expressionist artist Stephen B. Whatley to the 1950s Hollywood film actress Tandra Quinn. The Hollywood starlet and model appeared in 4 motion pictures in the early 1950s before retiring from the screen. Her exquisite iconic beauty is showcased in the now cult surreal science fiction movie, Mesa of Lost Women (USA 1952) which was the predominant inspiration for this portrait tribute.
The British painter - whose work has been published in TIME magazine - has long been a classic Hollywood film buff; and his interest lead him to research and contact Tandra Quinn in Texas, in 2005; since when they have enjoyed a heartfelt friendship.

A new tribute painting of the Patron Saint of Cancer Sufferers, Saint Peregrine by expressionist artist Stephen B. Whatley.
Saint Peregrine is also the Patron Saint of AIDS and other illnesses as well as Cancer - so may all those who meditate upon the image, created and infused with prayers, receive light, hope, protection and ultimate healing relief. Peace.
The artist - a Catholic convert since 2011 - often gets, through prayer, what he feels a 'Divine Push' to paint such Christian tributes and felt directed to paint Saint Peregrine, with prayers for healing, light and hope for those suffering cancer in his life - and worldwide.
He had a deep feeling the day of painting - 21 February - was a significant date; and later, after painting, realised it was the day in 1935 that Jesus had appeared to the Polish nun, Sister ( since 2000, Saint) Faustina, requesting she seek an artist and have a painting made depicting His Divine Mercy.
Stephen B. Whatley has painted several Divine Mercy images over the years; some of which were exhibited in his 2013 exhibition 'Paintings From Prayer' at London's Westminster Cathedral. There is a permanent walkway of his series of 30 paintings for the Tower of London, outside Tower Hill Station, London.
Peregrine Laziosi (Italy, c.1260-1345) experienced a miracle of healing in his own life, at 60, when a cancerous growth in his leg threatened amputation. The night before the amputation he spent praying before a fresco of The Crucifixion and later in a sleep state felt Jesus descend from The Cross to touch his leg. The next day the doctors found no trace of the cancer and he was pronounced cured; word spreading quickly of the power of Trust in the Lord.
The National Shrine of Saint Peregrine is at Our Lady of Sorrows Basilica in Chicago, Illinois, USA
This new painting took, alongside prayers, inspiration from a classic prayer card, acquired in New York in 2015.

A new portrait tribute of US Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton by British artist Stephen B. Whatley.
As a British citizen with great affection for the USA, he naturally can not vote in the US Election - so was determined to 'vote' with his artistic statement.
The expressionist painter set to work two days after the first Presidential debate, so impressed by Mrs Clinton's passionate, eloquent argument of conscience, delivered with strength, warmth and humour, in opposition to the Republican candidate Donald Trump.
Studying a series of recent photographs Whatley sought to capture on canvas both Hillary Clinton's beauty and presidential demeanour; and throughout, a positive reflection of the American spirit of hope.
In November 2008 Stephen B. Whatley painted a tribute to Barack Obama just days before the US Election which was published in TIME. His work is in private collections worldwide, including many states of the USA; and in public collections including BBC Heritage, The Royal Collection, London Transport Museum, Newman University & Westminster Cathedral. His 30 paintings commissioned by the Tower of London in 2000 are permanently reproduced throughout Tower Hill Underpass that leads to the Tower from Tower Hill Station, as a daily public art exhibit.
