I have always loved the constant movement of the spinning pendulum, a reminder that time doesn't stop. These must have been on trend at one point, as my father tends his carefully. My father in law's clock is a little rough around the edges, as he was, but with his passing last year, it is special despite it's imperfections.

285 BOOSTER
STATION ZUID AMSTERDAM, NL
A Booster Station is in effect a pumping-engine for sluicing out sewage. It is a technical and functional utility building which envelopes a series of pipes for the drain of the sewage water.
The project 'BOOSTER' is the answer towards the task to design a multitechnical building where three pumping engines can stand. It must be also an attractive object, now and in the future, from all sides seen by many passer-by in this region.
Aztec calendar
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Aztec or Mexica calendar is the calendrical system used by the Aztecs as well as other Pre-Columbian peoples of central Mexico. It is one of the Mesoamerican calendars, sharing the basic structure of calendars from throughout ancient Mesoamerica.
Monolito de la Piedra del Sol.jpg
The Aztec sun stone, also called the calendar stone, is on display at the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City. The calendar consists of a 365-day calendar cycle called xiuhpōhualli (year count) and a 260-day ritual cycle called tōnalpōhualli (day count). These two cycles together form a 52-year "century", sometimes called the "calendar round". The xiuhpōhualli is considered to be the agricultural calendar, since it is based on the sun, and the tōnalpōhualli is considered to be the sacred calendar.
Tōnalpōhualli
The tōnalpōhualli ("day count") consists of a cycle of 260 days, each day signified by a combination of a number from 1 to 13, and one of the twenty day signs. With each new day, both the number and day sign would be incremented: 1 Crocodile is followed by 2 Wind, 3 House, 4 Lizard, and so forth up to 13 Reed, after which the cycle of numbers would restart (though the twenty day signs had not yet been exhausted) resulting in 1 Jaguar, 2 Eagle, and so on, as the days immediately following 13 Reed. This cycle of number and day signs would continue similarly until the 20th week, which would start on 1 Rabbit, and end on 13 Flower. It would take a full 260 days (13×20) for the two cycles (of twenty day signs, and thirteen numbers) to realign and repeat the sequence back on 1 Crocodile.

A wood waste burner, known as a teepee burner or wigwam burner in the United States and a beehive burner in Canada, is a free-standing conical steel structure usually ranging from 30 to 60 feet in height. They are named for their resemblance to beehives, teepees or wigwams.
That was the official Wikipedia description. Looks more like a teleportation device created by Tesla

Brick Seven
After building a TARDIS brick sculpture, I'd whetted my appetite for time travel and so today I built a Delorean brick.
Keeping a rigid set of dimensions on the TARDIS was pretty easy, but this little guy was harder to enforce. The body comes in at three bricks tall and six studs wide. It's a smidge off of 12 studs long, but I made up for it by balancing all the stud height I stole from the hub caps by adding it to the rear vents.
Now to get back to watching the trilogy with my son (again).
Inspired by Cole Blaq's "Enter The Brick" series.
