So I tried to take a timelapse of a flower opening on my chilli plant as dawn broke...unfortunately the batteries ran out at 3am and I therefore have a big gap over sunrise! However, the timelapse still shows something really cool - how much the plant moves over just a short period of time.

24 frames per second, 1 frame per minute real time.

Music: Karl Jenkins - Adiemus

Didn't realize how dirty the filter attached to the lens was.

Still, for a quick and dirty run, learned a lot on how to do this better.

Everyday during the monsoon season, the Jemez Mountains create clouds and send them rolling down the mountain over my home. This is the view out away from the mountains. This timelapse inspired by 6M$Dan. This covers a bit over six hours.

Next time I'll consider cleaning the window I'm shooting through...

720 exposures, 12 fps video @ QuickTime Pro.

Any tips?

My second attempt at a proper timelapse sequence.

The sequence was shot on Scotforth Rd near to Abbeystead, Lancashire, overlooking Morecambe bay. You can just make out the Isle of Man on the horizon as the sun dissappears.

The pictures were taken 1 every 5 seconds for nearly 2 hours. It was only approaching the end I realised that the sunset would be missed due to camera positioning which is why the clip is so short. I planned for a 30 second video of the sunset however due to not having the positioning correct it hasn't worked out that way.

The jump near the end was me catching the camera causing the shift in positioning.

Shot using a Canon 7D with 15-85mm lens. Processed in After Effects and Premier Pro.

Quick timelapse of some art hanging in Pomona, CA. Taken over 25 minutes or so. To be used as B-Roll in interview footage.

BTW, Flickr's video quality for non-pro users leaves a lot to be desired ....

I've shot a number of different timelapses over the summer for different productions, so I decided to throw them all together in a quick little edit.

Thanks to Toby Bennett for helping me shoot the intro.

We wanted to foley all the audio on that... but then it might only be ready by next summer :)

These shots are from our productions in Greece, Antigua, Morocco, South Africa and the UK.

Mostly shot on the 550D and 60D with a few on the Go-Pro.

Thanks for watching

This is a shot from my fourth timelapse with the GoPro Hero.

I recently took a trip out to my Dad's for his birthday and mounted the GoPro on the hood of the car while leaving the city for the country.
