Todays timelapse comes from the base of the Astoria column and features just a hint over a 180 degree sweep and around 1400 images in total.
The clouds seemed to be splitting as they hit Astoria itself, you'll hopefully see what I mean in the video.
First try with GoPro Timelapse.
I didn't ask for permision for the song, I hope Paper Bird don't mind only a few seconds of their great song.

Another "could have been" timelapse from the Isle of Skye, this time what was promising to be a nice sunset ended up in a huge sheet of rain moving towards us on the hillside, again one I thought was still good enough to share.
Decided to try experimenting with a short timelapse of the sunset from my local park. I hope to do a longer one in the future.
Timelapse photo from on top of the boat at 1220am, apparently no light. Ash is dancing on the right.
Made with windows movie maker using 2:40 hours of pictures and a 30 second interval in P-mode, with auto-iso (max 800, max 1s) and manual focus on my D90.
Too bad I don't have a clear view on the sunset from here.
a super short timelapse I did on Monday. 38 3-second exposures taken every 6 seconds, caffeine powered timer (ie me looking at my watch and hitting the shutter). that's why it's so short, I got bored after 2 minutes or so... you can also see how dirty my sensor is, looks like it's time for a cleaning

Canon EOS450D 74 exposures f/11 ISO100 on aperture priority. One exposure every 20s. Processed in Camera Raw and cropped 16:9. Interpolated (bicubic) in ImageJ to double number of frames. Rendered in Photoshop CS5 as 720p HD video, 23.97fps frame rate.
another short timelapse to test some settings. It took 24 hours for these few seconds, 1 shot every 20/30 minutes with 2 hours of pause for recharge the camera battery
