I visited the Nansemond Tribe today, they were having a Pow Wow. I love the drums. This is the Eastern Bull Singers - they were the host drummers. Here is a little sample of the drumming - this was dance to introduce the Baby Lakota, her first time in the dance circle.
Any time the Link gets a little wet from rain, he goes completely batty when he gets in the house, running around like a maniac and rolling. He runs until he drops, panting and exhausted.
Frank doesn't know what to make of it and Jimmy Dean stays out of his way.

Everytime I eat salad the dogs would beg for some, so now when I make a salad for me I make them one (less the dressing) and I add a few frozen veggies.
Jimmy Dean, Link and Frank love it.
A young hawk or falcon watches warily from a branch outside my back window for a few minutes and then parrots frolic upside down, while a person walks around the garden below.
Jimmy Dean want to play fetch on his term, where I am the one that fetches from him, but not today - I held my ground and did not go get the toy; so i guess maybe I am the "Stubborn" one!
I played the video of the dogs crying, with volume up high, to see what the boys would do. Frank, Link and Jimmy Dean joined in again.
When I got Frank home from the groomer I knew he would want to run up stairs to see Link and Jimmy Dean, so half way between them and the door I set one of Frank's favorite treats - a red mikbone. He stopped at it, ran past it - I thought Link and Jimmy Dean won out, but he ran back after a quick hello and then took the treat down stairs (Link and Jimmy Dean don't go down steps). Later, when I got Link downstairs, he took it from Frank and ate it.
My dogs really love one another and get all upset when I separate them for any reason. I was taking Frank to drop him off at the groomers. Jimmy Dean and Link are in their pen up stairs.
Link wanted my seat and he got it! I can't believed he played me so easily. Frank was with, Jimmy Dean stayed in his usual spot and was not a part of Link's plan.
Link has made him self an ingenious back scratcher. But he usually won't use it if I am watching, so I stood back and watched him from a little distance away, zoomed in, kept quiet and waited. He got a few passes in while I was filming.
I was at Port Warwick's Styron Square, in Newport News, Virginia, attending an outdoor concert. The band was called Neversink - I liked them, but the concert was called off because a fast moving severe Thunderstorm was moving in.
The boys out back - a neighbors is cooking hot dogs on the grill, ever once in a while the wind shifts and they get a sniff, and then it is gone again. At the beginning Link is using his honey suckle back scratcher.
I wish I would have thought about this before watching this clip - but you have to watch Link's tail in the first few seconds - when Link gets excited he wags his tail left to right, up and down, in circles - all kinds of crazy directions - but I only caught a few seconds of.
The dogs get a bit excited when the postman comes by.
Ever since Link hurt his back I have been trying to discourage him from jumping up on the furniture. He will allow me to pick him up, but at a price. I must scratch his belly first or he won't get in to a lifting position.
I am easy to train!
Summer makes me lazy...

I caught just the end of the confrontation - every once in a while Link will challenge Jimmy Dean for the Alpha Dog position. Jimmy Dean stands his ground ( he is secure in his position) and lets Link vent - Link finally gives up and Jimmy Dean maintains his position as "Top Dog".

Today is Frank's 2nd Birthday - I made a special breakfast for Frank, Link and Jimmy Dean: Dog food, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and elbow macaroni.
Link and Frankwill climb sairs, Jimmy Dean must be carried - but they get one last treat before sleep.
My Morning routine - three dogs to scratch and say hello to. Jimmy Dean,Link and Frank need a little TLC before they get going in the morning.
Hot days, beer, wine, men and women, good music -- add them together and you get some fun to film dancing.
I was loading photos in to flickr when Frank stood up behind me and started hitting me because Jimmy Dean and Link were sleeping and he wanted someone to pay attention to him. I grabbed the camera and recorded before he stopped, but I had the camera sideways when i first started - sorry.
Frank is my needy little guy, but he always keeps me smiling.

Jimmy Dean, Link and Frank's favorite treat has to be, hands down, apples. I can never eat one in peace. (But I don't mind sharing, because watching them chew apples always puts a smile on my face.)
