I go through this daily - Jimmy Dean is never in a hurry (and he is hard to spot - I even checked the tree - jst in case!). Frank is always first to come when called, then Link - But Jimmy Dean can drive a person to drink!
Rethink's latest door animation that I illustrated. Animated by über talented Chris Nielson in after effects. Check out his other master pieces on youtube here: youtube.com/bananaman6
And yes, every character in this piece is representative of an actual rethinker. To see the animation in full size, please physically visit us at 470-700 Granville St., Vancouver.

Thanks for the eye balls.
October 2009.
Vancouver, Canada.
All three of my dogs love fresh vegetables and they crack me up when they chew and crunch. Frank demonstrates for your delight.
At this mornings 5K race - fun walk, the Apprentice School Drumline had the crowd follow them to starting line. I walk, so I stay in the back of the crowd.

Erlaube mir, feins Mädchen (Johannes Brahms 1833 -1897):
Erlaube mir, feins Mädchen, in den Garten zu gehn,
daß ich dort mag schauen, wie die Rosen so schön.
Erlaube sie zu brechen, es ist die höchste Zeit;
It is so dark, sorry, beacuse they were in the shadow of my laptop and me. Frank had been pestering Link trying to get him to play - finally Link had enough and let him know it. But Link is like a light switch, he flips for killer ot being friend instantly and Frank loves the attention.
Link likes to drag his belly on the ground - he pulled himself in to the honey suckle and trumpet vines and he got stuck because he could not move his front legs.
City Hall, Mission High School, various high-rises and the San Francisco Skyline fade into a semi-Victorian neighborhood during a journey on Muni's J-Church line.
A Chairman Ting illustration production. My first stop motion animation of myself painting my studio apartment wall in Vancouver. Shot with my Nikon D90 and Nikkor 28-80mm AF lens on a tripod triggered with a remote. After well over 1,800 shots I assembled the final movie with Quicktime Pro and imovie.
Flickr cuts the video at the 90 sec. mark. To see the entire 2 min. clip, click here:

We were on a walk, trying to get a quick one in before the rain came, but we got caught in some light rain. Link hates to get wet and usually goes nuts as soon as he get off the lead. This video was almost two minutes but it gets truncated to 90 seconds by flickr but I don't think you missed anything .
I took Jimmy Dean, Link and Frank on a 2.5 mile walk today, on the Noland Trail. It is slow walking with them - they got to sniff everything that some do may have peed on in the last year or so.
Jimmy Dean,Link and Frank were out back attacking the fence - the neighbors pit bulls were on the other side attack back - the sounds were horrific. The pit bulls have already started 4 new holes under the fence. I could not get the boys to call off the attack so I threw a bucket of water on them. That got their attention and they all ran in to the house.
Link, more than the others, hates getting wet.
I took the boys for a walk down by the James River this evening - the sun was getting low. The river, down here in Newport News, near the James River Bridge, is a little over 4 miles wide..
Dance of the Cranes, 2009
Brandon Vickerd - Toronto, Canada
Performance Art
Dance of the Cranes is a collaborative performance piece consisting of a 13-minute choreographed dance performed by two high-rise construction cranes. The dance will be performed at the beginning of every hour, from 7 pm to 3 am, on the night of Nuit Blanche. At designated times, two tower construction cranes standing on the same site and visible above the Toronto skyline, will come to life in a synchronized spectacle of motion. In the darkness they will slowly begin to pivot, rotate and sway in harmonized gestures, each crane performing delicate motions hundreds of metres above the audience on the sidewalk below. This work is a meditation on the movement and labour that takes place on a colossal scale in the physical building of our urban landscape. It is an attempt to draw the audience's attention to the massive machines that build our city above our heads and the skill of the individuals that operate the cranes.
This performance is a collaborative work developed by Brandon Vickerd with the support of the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 793 (who operate the cranes) and the developers, CanAlfa.
I caught this lillte snake in my yard today - let him go in my garden. He had a cracked ventral scale on his belly, with a little dried blood - but no puncher wound and he seemed fine. He must of had a run in with my neighbors cat.
I thought this was funny - the size of this video in 6.66 MB. Spooky!
Be very quiet - Link, Frankand Jimmy Dean are sleeping. (Albeit, JD blends in to the dark background.)
I cooked up a pot of Brussels Sprouts - Jimmy Dean, Frank and Link love them. I cooled some and chopped them up for them. Not to many because they tend to get a bit gassy.
Coming home from the rose garden, we took the sidewalk home instead of cutting through the park so you can hear the cars passing by.
The roads are full of dead frogs and toads - it has been rainy and coll, they come out to the road to warm-up and get ran over. Jimmy Dean found the first one, but Franks and Link came in quickly.
Heavy rains flooded the Chatuchak weekend market on 19th Sept 2009. This was only the beginning. In less than 30 minutes the water rose to shin-height, and covered not only the internal passageways, but the roads surrounding the market as well.
Bangkok, Thailand
Dottie Ann is the neighbors dog, she is big, but friendly. She is a mix: rottweiler - lab- pit bull. The boys love her, Frank always wants to play with her. (And yes, I did call her a him!)
Some fun and games at Nelson's Creek MTB Festival: we catch up with Jason shortly after crossing the finish line to find out how it all went, and then meet up with René and Damien back at the car.
When I call the dogs in, Link and Frank come running. But Jimmy Dean, can drive me nuts. He will wander around the back yard sniffing and looking and pretending he doesn't hear me. He does this almost every time, unless I offer a dog-treat or if I ask if he wants to go on a walk - then he will come running.
Link, Frank and Jimmy Dean always keep me wondering about what is going on in those plum sized brains. And in regards to Link's action, let's remember the quote from Seinfeld. "Not that there's anything wrong with it!"
I just got home from the pet shop, Care-A-Lot. I got each dog one dried turkey patty - they never had them before, but they looked like McDonald's Hamburgers (not too pretty), so I was pretty sure the boys would like them. As soon as frank got down stairs he ran to the kitchen - he could smell them - the other two soon joined him.
Checkout Jimmy Dean's eyes when he gets his treat.
Link usually starts it, but the others join in. Link goes nuts if he gets a little wet while on a walk; Jimmy Dean and Frank like any excuse for going nuts.

This is a diesel-powered hydraulic mechanical spider. It weights about 1,600 lb.
De-Inventing The Wheel - This ridable mechanical walking machine was designed by a team of artists and engineers as an industrial metal beast destined to rock Burning Man and the world of kinetic sculpture. Inspired by Vancouver Junkyard Wars, this giant hydraulic monster was hewn from steel with passion and precision. Call it robot... call it biomimicry... call it what you will... We call it... The MONDO SPIDER.
It was originally shown at Burning Man 2006: Hope and Fear.
