The bus in this case is a 1954 Weyman-bodied Daimler CVG6.

Not really sure what this picture is all about..haha. It's kinda creepy. Anyways I finally gave that little old alarm clock back to my grandma...but guess what she brought me when she came down to visit! A Kodak Vest Pocket Model B camera that was manufactured in 1929. It was her mom's back in the day--pretty amazing!! I'll do something fun with it this weekend hopefully :)

Doing the ten meter challenge from DPS, I used the really old and superfine china teapot and a tea cup that I got from my grandmother.
When I was a teenager I used to open up one of her china cabinets and look at the set, running my fingers along the edge of the cups. I loved the geisha pattern and told my grandmother that I really wanted them some day and that she could never ever sell them or give them away to anyone else.
Not long after I moved out of my parents' place, my grandmother boxed them up and gave them to me. I've always been afraid of using them lest they break but I'm frequently tempted. I do use one cup to hold jewelry on my dresser but the rest of the set lives on display in my china cabinet.
I really should use them just once at least.

Photo notes: Canon S5 IS with a Canon Speedlite 580EX II flash bracket mounted vertically above the camera with an ETTL cord. The flash was bounced off of the ceiling and muted with a Sto-Fen Omni-Bounce diffuser. Taken in color and converted to black and white in Photoshop.
Time Warner Center, the world headquarters of the Time Warner corporation, is located on the west side of Columbus Circle on the site of the old New York Coliseum. The complex also hosts the Shops at Columbus Circle, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and the New York City studio headquarters of CNN.

Not my best, but I was trying very hard to make this not exactly the same as one of my other 365s from a few months ago.
I find myself... stressing... constantly over the amount of time I have. Its a huge factor in my life. Because I sleep so much, I have significantly less amount of time in my day than everyone else. And I try to make up for it by staying up, but that just makes me sleep more. I miss daylight. I miss feeling productive. I miss not having to worry about time. In every single thing I do. I hate sleeping so much. And I wish I had more time for this photo.
For 4 days this week, myself and 6 other wonderful artists went to the Porcupine Mountains to a remote cabin and made things. It was a great experience, I will post more pictures soon.

I just HAVE to upload these pics of my time turner. My aunt bought it for me through a friend who went to the Harry Potter 9 3/4 store at King Cross Station in London. It's my dream to visit it, and the Harry potter theme park in Orlando :)))
But isnt it pretty!!! Unfortunately you cant go back in time with it, it's more of a collectors item i guess XD

On June 15, 1957, during Tulsa‘s celebration of Oklahoma‘s semi-centennial, a brand new gold and white 1957 Plymouth Belvedere Sport Coupe was buried in a time capsule in downtown Tulsa. Several other items were also buried, including the contents of a woman's purse, aerial photos, statements from important people, and a bunch of other things.

Route 66 Back in the late 50,s .............

Finally, we stop at the Blue Swallow Motel ("100% refrigerated air") and meet a Route 66 institution, Lillian Redman (now deceased). Mrs. Redman arrived in New Mexico by way of covered wagon in 1916, worked as a Fred Harvey Girl in her youth, and received the Blue Swallow as an engagement present in 1958. In our 1996 conversation, she recalled when the highway was paved with cinders because of its proximity to the railroad and expounded upon her belief that we are all travelers in some way. Even into her nineties, she offered a clean room, hardwood floor, and black and white television to road weary travelers for eleven bucks and change. On the back of her postcard, I read: "From 'birth 'til death' we travel between eternities. May these days be pleasant for you, profitable for society, helpful to those you meet, and a joy to those who know and love you best." If you're curious, Blue Swallow represents two ideas: blue stands for truth, while the bird stands for love.
During our Summer 2000 return to the Mother Road, we met Dale and Hilda Bakke, the new owners of the Blue Swallow Motel. Turns out Dale was a licensed electrician employed by the Colorado prison system for nine years. He loved the first seven but grew to dread the increasingly administrative functions of his job. So he picked up, sold everything, and moved the family the New Mexico after hearing about a chance to buy an old motel. "I didn't know it was on Route 66 or anything, only that it was beat up and needed a lot of work." After winning a competitive grant from USWest, he added a phone system to the formerly communication-challenged court, but made sure that the phones would be vintage rotary models. The floors are now carpeted and the walls are freshly painted, but the overall attitude remains the same. Step into the office, pet a fourteen year old cat, grab a postcard, and settle into a nice room. Given all the refurbishment and upgrade, don't be surprised that the price has more than doubled since Lillian Redmond owned the place, and don't be stingy either. This is the best motel on Route 66. Sure, some folks may quibble over the enhancements. Hilda remarks: "We get some purists who complain, 'you should have left the old black and white TVs, you should have left the old stuff.'" Of course, she adds: "we could have left the old creaky mattresses, too . . . we won't make any structural changes, and most people like what we've done to it."

Landscape photography on an overcast day is never my favourite, but by the time I had finally reached this high point after a few hours of uphill hiking, I was determined I would not only take a photo but would post it no matter what, LOL! You can just see the western end of the first of four lakes. From this point on, the trail traversed a rocky mountain side - never my favourite to walk on - and I was just too exhausted to climb down to these lakes and then back up again before a few more hours of hiking down to the cars in the parking lot. The height gain from the beginning of the trail to the pass is 450 metres.
LOL, just read the following words in Gillean Daffern's book, "Kananaskis: Country trail guide":
".... Shortly, the trail turns due north and you drag yourself up a hot, dry, shaley hillside to the pass". All was true (except, thankfully the "hot") and "drag" was a most appropriate word. I've also just read on some website a young guy's comment that this is a "short, easy hike". A good job I didn't read his comment before doing this hike : )
