I'm trying to get myself back on track with these posting deadlines, and now is the time, as school has officially started.

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way
Tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking
And racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in the relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death
Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say
Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
When I come home cold and tired
It's good to warm my bones beside the fire
Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells

7DOS, Week #39 - Song Titles, Macro Monday - one from the archive, taken nearly a year ago in fact. How much my life has changed since then! Apologies for the lack of visits and activity on my part, but we're still sans house and there seems to be a ton to do despite this. I have no idea how long it'll be before we get connected once we're in a house so it may get worse/better - who knows.
Thank you in advance for any comments and/or favourite and apologies for the lack of reciprocation on my part. We're still living out of bags a month down the line and I'm not sure when this will change. Getting serious photography-withdrawal symptoms :-(

Lazy Saturday morning breakfast together whilst our child (miraculously) sleeps in :-) This is one of my all-time favourite Pink Floyd tracks, from their iconic "The Dark Side of The Moon" album, which was released 40 years ago - where has Time gone?
Just a quick little shot this time. Took this by dropping a water droplet on my phone camera to simulate a macro/fisheye lens.
Enjoy!
too slow for those who wait,
too swift for those who fear,
too long for those who grieve,
too short for those who rejoice,
but for those who love, time is eternity.

In a future shaped by the harsh realities of the climate crisis, deserts have expanded across vast areas of the world. The scarcity of water and relentless drought have rendered the land barren, while devastating wildfires have eradicated vegetation and life. In this new world, where rain has become a rare luxury, new deserts have emerged in what were once fertile regions. Humanity had forgotten that there were once peoples who lived and thrived in the desert—the nomads of the Sahara.
By a remarkable stroke of luck, a large, forgotten library was discovered in the region formerly known as Timbuktu. This discovery became a revelation, a beacon of hope in an otherwise bleak time. The library contained invaluable manuscripts and wisdom from the past, which could unveil the secrets behind the nomads' ability to survive in harsh desert conditions. In the many caves and underground grottos around Timbuktu, ancient documents were unearthed, bringing new knowledge to light.
This photo series explores the rediscovery of this forgotten wisdom, providing a glimpse into how our ancestors navigated life's challenges in the desert. Through these images, ancient truths are brought to life once more, inspiring us to learn from the nomads of the past, as we seek new paths forward in a world grappling with climate change.
In the sands of time, where dunes now rise,
A future unfolds under sunburned skies.
Forgotten whispers of a people long gone,
Nomads who thrived in the desert's dawn.
From Timbuktu's hidden troves they emerge,
Ancient tomes with knowledge to purge.
Beneath the earth, in caves so deep,
The secrets of survival, awake from sleep.
The world once forgot these sun-scorched lands,
But hope rekindles with ink-stained hands.
From parchments brittle, wisdom flows,
As past and present in the desert grows.
Haikus:
Lost in shifting sands,
Ancient voices rise again,
Nomads’ truths untold.
Dust of ages past,
Timbuktu’s wisdom revealed,
Hope in arid lands.
No time for the complexities of conversation
No time smiles, no time for knowing
No time for the intricacies of explanation
No time for sharing, even less for showing
No time at all
No time this time
No time at all
No time this time.
The Hawk keeps the same name. Indeed, Hamann's SLS AMG already was named Hawk. The roadster version seems to keep the name for some reason I can't really understand. This time, no huge spoiler! Black and red theme. The matte red paintjob fits the SLS AMG roadster very well. Carbon fiber front hood with lots of air intakes. The interior, however, is very simple and didn't amaze me much (shocking for a roadster)! The rims are the typical Hamann rims, but with white lip on one side, and red lip on the other. I think this method for showing different set of rims is quite smart, allows the person to have a better idea of the whole thing in the flesh, without having to check out the internet.

Dovercourt, Harwich, Essex. The weather report said "Clear" so i was hopeful for a nice sunrise - only to be met with a big grey bank of cloud out to sea.
