I ended my last day on the beautiful Oregon coast with catching the sunset on Cannon Beach. I am calling this one Time for a couple of reasons because:

1. Life unceasingly lets me see how fragile our very existence is here on this planet and that time is a very limited resource we have, so

2. Take the time to notice something, anything. By finding some kind of meaning through experience, the definition of time melts away. And,

3. I was listening to the Inception soundtrack while editing this :).

“Time is money” should be the motto of all luxury watchmakers!

Decided to try out the HDR of the E-M1, this was five shots and converted in Photoshop.

There are wonderful scenes along the Strasburg Rail Road that blend centuries together. Instead of a 1900's steam engine crossing Cherry Hill Road, the 20th and 21st Centuries met with a 1981-built AEM7. The Amtrak motor was being pulled in to Strasburg after being donated to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania.

This photo was taken after leaving the cinemas in the beautiful Sony centre in Berlin.

We had to go down this stairs, so I asked my twin sister Joana if she would model for me. I prepared the camera in the tripod, got in the escalator followed by her. We only had time for two or three exposures so I convinced her we should go up again to take some more. The problem was that both stairs only went down. :D

Bus Éireann (Rosslare) SP16

Bus Éireann SP16 is noted here waiting time outside Busáras before picking up peak-time only Service 133X to Gorey- in this case the 1745 departure from the city. Parked here, whilst inconveniencing DublinBus’ from accessing their stop, the driver is able to see when his bay becomes free so that he can move inside the bus station itself.

Busáras is a terrible bus station for a multitude of reasons, and it really is a disgrace that it still exists in its current state today. Its unsuitability is particularly noticeable at this time on a Friday when the bus station is at its busiest as coaches do laps until a spot is free.

Bus Éireann’s early SPs may not have long left, with rumours of withdrawal and being put up for sale going around. They’re still fantastic coaches, but many are starting to show the effects of Bus Éireann’s largely poor maintenance and cleaning strategy. Even from this shot, SP16 is noted looking scruffy in parts - don’t ask about the mismatched horns, a feature of a number of SPs now!

As time is running out for the early SPs, it too may be running out for Bus Éireann as a whole...

“Life is too short to waste any amount of time on wondering what other people think about you. In the first place, if they had better things going on in their lives, they wouldn't have the time to sit around and talk about you. What's important to me is not others' opinions of me, but what's important to me is my opinion of myself.”

home for a couple of days....

Apologies for the poor quality photo but my scanner is playing up...

Photos of me from my driving days are pretty scarce so I was chuffed when my mum recently found this photo taken by my dad nearly 30 years ago.

The occasion is the Lorry Driver of the Year local qualifying round held in Manchester on glorious 7th July 1991. Urged to compete by one of my colleagues we took Liverpool Districts pair of large engined Ford Cargo 2424s and narrowly missed qualifying... Although I had been only driving for less than a year I beat my senior colleague. Although it was a fun day it was the only time I took part in the completion.

I have great fondness for this truck... I passed my HGV Test in it in August 1990 when it was just over a week old and was to become its regular driver for the next 7 years until I changed roles and shortly after the Cargo was sold on. There are a couple of photos of it on my photo stream but it also manages to appear in the background of many others....

I later passed it on the M62 in Manchester whilst it was operating still in its later BT grey for a firm in Bury, but it's tax ran out in 2004 and whilst I hope that it is safely tucked up in a shed somewhere I presume it was chopped up for its Cummins engine.

it's hard to believe where those 30 years have gone...

First Time lapse video. (unfortunately before cleaning up my lens :-( )

Although I've had this watch for quite some time this weekend was the first time that I pt the metal bracelet on it. Image is made up of probably 6 to 7 pics.

this was shot in brick klin during the family breakfast time..

It was really cold =_=.

The last day of work of this short working week :D

Wish you all a wonderful week-end!

Time for "sleep" inside The Conjuring House. Come to find out, it's ME that goes bump in the night with the lights nearly off. Ya know, being too tall for a 17th century farmhouse ceiling and bumping into everything during a paranormal investigation. We did stay overnight though!

I didn't notice the Rosa Parks signs above until I received my scans. This truck was actually being produced in the 1950's when Rosa Parks made history. I love these little surprises!

Now it is the autumn-time in germany and I fall in love with the colors of the trees. 😍

Happy New Year to my fellow Flickrers! I've truly enjoyed seeing the world through your lens this year. Best wishes for an inspiring 2014.

Time to spend a little bit of time outside seeing as it's such a nice Friday. After doing to many movies it was time to take a few photos instead :-)

This was taken just south of Clearwater Beach but North of Sand Key. In fact, the jetty you can see in the distance is Sand Key State Park. It's all in Clearwater, Florida. This was taken after sunset, and was just over a 3 minute exposure.

When dad is the homeschool teacher, this is how he teaches telling time.

Another year has passed. A new year about to begin. It's time to reflect on where we've been and where we are going.

Wishing everyone a Safe and Happy New Year. May it be prosperous, and full of love, laughter, and excitement - and even a few Explore shots thrown in from time to time.
