River Elwy. A full four minute exposure.

The River Elwy (Afon Elwy in Welsh) is a river in Wales and is a tributary of the River Clwyd. The source of the river is sometimes said to be on the northern flank of Moel Seisiog, south-east of Llanrwst, at Ordnance Survey grid reference SH853593. However the river is only actually called the Elwy at the village of Llangernyw, where three rivers, Afon Cledwen, Afon Collen and Afon Gallen, meet to form the Elwy. It flows eastwards through Llanfair Talhaiarn and a few miles downstream from this village it is joined by a tributary, the River Aled (Afon Aled) which has its source in Llyn Aled.

After passing through Bont-newydd, the river turns northwards again and flows through St. Asaph (Llanelwy or "the church enclosure on the Elwy" in Welsh). It joins the River Clwyd about half way between St. Asaph and Rhuddlan, and the waters of the two rivers can often be seen flowing side by side for several miles.

No photoshop, just good old- fashioned photography. Me, a camera, tripod and a torch.

Have a creative new week, Flickr friends.

Clock outside Victoria Station, London.

On a blustery evening this competitor in the Fife Cycling Association - Mid week TT series demonstrates the perfect position to maximise his performance.

Any time is time to play with our dog.

As a pup, play beat out everything. Even high values treats.

You come through the door and she greets you with a toy. Even if she's just meeting you for the first time.

Watching a bit of tv, she comes up with a toy. And if that bait is not taken, she goes and finds something else that might be more appealing.

Endless fun :))

A little bit of fun with an older image

I rarely take photos with shutter speeds greater than a second. In water motion a shutter speed of a half a second is usually ideal for getting the texture in the water I desire. However some 6 years ago I would often take a image of 30 seconds or more, occasionally to achieve a misty sea more often though it was to create a dynamic sky. Today’s photo is an example of this taken in December 2017. How often do you reach for the ND64, ND100 filters?

My 2018 resolution: Take time to reflect on the world around me

After a while it is time for me to head up in the mountains again. Will be out of network, catch your inspiring work when i'm back.

If an angel comes down

And takes me away

The memories of me

And my songs

Will always stay

Till they can find

(until the end of time)

Until the end of time

Till the end of time

Time is fleeting, memories are eternal

Time just shatters our lives into pieces

Year, month, day, hour, minute, second,

And nothingness.

Anymore the harvest harvest starts about the 3rd week in June in Kansas. When I was a kid growing up in Kansas in the 50s, harvest would start until it was close to 4th July.

Another from the Howell Nature Center. This is an Eastern Screech Owl, and he was not interested in a staring contest.

It was a first for me to see two hawks sitting together in a tree. I think both of these birds are Red-tailed Hawks but maybe someone out there knows for sure? I'm guessing that the lighter coloured one is a juvenile.

This isn't velvet, or a fine silky dress, or some strange sun storm, or a complicated fractal graph. This is simple sand, and it is absolutely unbelievable how the water and the wind are able to transform the sand. Day after day, year after year, age after age. Here, in a detail of the famous Antelope Canyon in Arizona, it is possible to see all the five elements gathered in a single image: the earth describes a wave, molded along the time by the wind and burned by the sun.

Time is running out for this bridge.

Meanwhile back in Greycliff, MT, NP 25/26 Properly swap lap their running authorities.
