The view from the very bottom of St. Patrick's Well in Orvieto. It really is time travel of sorts, given how far back in time it was built.
"The Pozzo di San Patrizio (English: "St. Patrick's Well") is a historic well in Orvieto, Umbria, central Italy. It was built by architect-engineer Antonio da Sangallo the Younger of Florence, between 1527 and 1537, at the behest of Pope Clement VII who had taken refuge at Orvieto during the sack of Rome in 1527 by the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V, and feared that the city's water supply would be insufficient in the event of a siege. The well was completed in 1537 during the papacy of Pope Paul III.
The name was inspired by medieval legends that St. Patrick's Purgatory in Ireland gave access down to Purgatory, indicating something very deep.
The architect-engineer Antonio da Sangallo the Younger surrounded the central well shaft with two spiral ramps in a double helix, accessed by two doors, which allowed mules to carry empty and full water vessels separately in downward and upward directions without obstruction. The cylindrical well is 53.15 metres (174.4 ft) deep with a base diameter of 13 metres (43 ft). There are 248 steps and 70 windows provide illumination."

Another 2 photographs from the valley and time are in my landscape set.
A pair of Pileated Woodpeckers caught breeding. He was only on her for 9 seconds. Now he may have fallen off or perhaps that is as long as it takes. But I do know later after he left she was calling out. Perhaps it takes several tries to fertilize the eggs or maybe once a year is not enough.

Another photograph from my trip to NYC for Flickr20under20. After spending our time in the MoMA, admiring the works of extraordinary artists such as Vincent Van Gogh and Matisse (just to name a couple), Madeline and I decided we'd use the last moments of daylight to dance in the streets of New York and take pictures. It's something I've always wanted to do and it'll be a memory I'll treasure forever. I ended up snapping this picture of Madeline while we were waiting to cross the road.
This week has been quite tough, as my family and I sadly had to say goodbye to our dog Max. We've now lost both Cinta and Max this year, which has left our family incomplete. I miss them very dearly and think of them everyday <3

I call this one time because this is one of my earlier pics of my nephew I put on here, back b4 I was into photoshop. So this is the redone version of an archive..I hope you like it..:)
When a sunset doesn't go quite to plan, take time a stop a have a little "Quiet Time" you'll be surprised what you can find. I love the softness and simplicity of this shot, no heavy colours just subtle ones and some haze thrown in for good measure.
