Sissinghurst Castle Garden in Kent ...

The herb I use most in my cooking. I grow enough of it so that I never have to buy it dried from the store. I dry my own. I always have at least six of them. They don't take up a lot of room.

Website: the restaurant offers a “plat du jour” comprising one entrée, one main — with vegetarian option — one or two desserts, and cheese, with five or six wines by the glass chosen to match the food. Our food is contempory, clean and fresh, using the finest produce to reflect the seasons.

 

We skipped on the wine *grin.

i pulled up a ridiculously huge amount of thyme today. it had overtaken the garden, choking out other herbs i wanted to keep. out of the mess i pulled some nice strands, washed and air-dried, then hung up to have our own dried.
