Two varieties of Thyme from my herb garden. The lighter version is Lemon Thyme.

Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. Any comments or Faves are very much appreciated

My contribution to Macro Mondays' challenge, "smell", on 13 September 2021. Just love the appetizing aroma of fresh thyme. HMM!

Hoverfly in the garden feeding on our wonderous Thyme that has kept so many creatures going through the summer

I'm so lucky to 'bee' able to spend 'thyme' observing quite a variety of bee species in my garden, and am always plotting what I should plant next to attract more species. This photo isn't quite as sharp as I'd like, but I do like the pose of this male Willughby's leafcutter bee on the thyme. And I do so love their white 'boxing gloves' and the green in their eyes. I can't wait for bee season to start again next year!

Rose End Meadows near Cromford.

We bought this ground covering thyme from a nearby plant nursery over two years ago and it is spreading out beautifully on one of our flower beds

I have a patch of Thyme growing in my garden which is great for attracting butterflies and bees

Time to introduce you to the Thyme Flowerette...

This is less than one inch long in reality. The plant is a creeping groundcover.

I loathe the cold, but I managed to get outside for a few minutes when we got our first real snow earlier this week.

Wild Mountain Thyme

Sarah Calderwood, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Andrew Greene

Oh the summer time is coming

And the tress are sweetly bloomin

And the wild mountain thyme

Grows around the bloomin heather

Will he go lassie go

And we'll all go together

To pluck wild mountain thyme

All around the bloomin heather

Will he go lassie go

I will build my love a tower

By your pure, crystal fountain

And around it i will place

All the flowers of the mountain

If my true love he were gone

I would surely find another

Where the wild mountain thyme

Grows around the bloomin heather

life moves quickly. but when i remember to pause, breathe, and be, there’s all the time in the world.
