This went in a year ago. The soaker hoses snake around, held with wire pins made cheaply from baling wire. The rocks help drain toward a dry well dug 3 feet deep & filled with rock. No more ice rink in winter.
Wowzers! That's a lot of maternity clothing purchased! I found out that Karin, Janet and Sylvia are ALL pregnant on the same morning! And within a month of each other too. Holy Ovaries, Batman!
Lemon thyme, or Thymus citridorus, is a hardy, perennial plant that has pink or white flowers and prefers to grow in full sun. This herb has a taste and smell reminiscent of lemons. Like other thyme varieties, lemon thyme is often used as a seasoning for foods. As an herbal remedy, Thymus citridorus has anti-aging properties, promotes relaxation and eases coughing.

The herb garden called out to me as I came home from a trip to the grocery store.
I had taken my camera with me, as I most often do, in hopes of interest passing my way. The herb and vegetable patch shouted out to me, a island of green in an otherwise brown sea.
I grabbed images of flowers and tomatoes, but this clump of English Thyme (helpfully identified by the plastic marker) stood out. Low to the ground, but with delightfully tiny leaves, it is a treat for my eyes, as well as for my tongue.
