PS: Still in Spain. Now in Barcelona, and with some Internet connection, but not much free time. Sorry for not having visited your streams... I'll have tons of great work to catch up with when I'm back in NY next week.

They swivel around in the breeze. The post is black and white, and reminds me a bit of a lighthouse or some other coastal thing.

"Orion is a prominent constellation located on the celestial equator and visible throughout the world. It is one of the most conspicuous and recognizable constellations in the night sky. It is named after Orion, a hunter in Greek mythology. Its brightest stars are the blue-white Rigel (Beta Orionis) and the red Betelgeuse (Alpha Orionis).
Orion is most visible in the evening sky from January to April, winter in the Northern Hemisphere, and summer in the Southern Hemisphere. In the tropics (less than about 8° from the equator), the constellation transits at the zenith."

These are two different banners in the Mississippi state University football locker room and the Golden Egg Trophy which is presented to the winner of the MSU/UM football game.
MSU won it today for the third year in a row. I had planned to take my camera to the game, but it rained all game long, so I left it at home.

Jun became part of what later came to be the Contemporary Ceramics Movement - and is a pioneer in the field of monumental ceramic sculpture. Since 1986, he has resided/worked in Omaha, Nebraska. Millennium Park is a public park and civic center (known as Chicago's "front lawn") - and is located within The Loop and near the city's Lake Michigan shoreline. It covers 24.5 acres within Grant Park's 319 acres (northwestern section). The area was previously occupied parkland, rail yards and parking lots. Envisioned as a celebration of the millennium (2000) - planning of the park began in 1997 and it was opened in 2004 - 4 years behind schedule.
Four major artist highlights of the park are: the Jay Pritzker Pavilion (a bandshell designed by world renowned architect Frank Gehry); Cloud Gate / "The Bean" (a reflective steel sculpture by world renowned artist Anish Kapoor) , the Crown Fountain (an interactive work of public art + video sculpture/fountains by world renowned Catalan artist Jaume Plensa), and the Lurie Garden (a 5 acre public garden showcasing perennials, bulbs, grasses, shrubs and trees). The park is connected by the BP Pedestrian Bridge (also designed by architect Frank Gehry) to other parts of Grant Park. In the northwest corner of Millennium Park sits Wrigley Square which contains the Millennium Monument - a nearly full sized limestone replica (40 feet high) built in 2002 of the semicircle of paired Roman Doric-style concrete columns (peristyle) that originally sat in this area of Grant Park between 1917-1953.
three: pulling into the vande driveway, I was almost shocked to see this pristine trio perched just so... I quickly jumped out of the car and snapped away, eagerly capturing a blatant 3, too dern cute to pass up!

Das Spiel ist für einen Chili Fan und irgendwie dachte ich bei Chilis, muss es auch ein bisserl TexMex sein ;-))
Three in a row - chili
The little man was a little under the weather the other day, so we had a stay home day. By the afternoon he was feeling better, and had switched gears from his current Candyland board game obsession. Instead it was all Tic Tac Toe Three-in-a-Row all the time (though he doesn't have it quite properly figured out yet). He must have gone through a ream of paper. Color construction paper. Sigh.
