The little man was a little under the weather the other day, so we had a stay home day. By the afternoon he was feeling better, and had switched gears from his current Candyland board game obsession. Instead it was all Tic Tac Toe Three-in-a-Row all the time (though he doesn't have it quite properly figured out yet). He must have gone through a ream of paper. Color construction paper. Sigh.
Three wasps flying and one wasp sitting on a big leaf in my backyard. This was about 9 or 10 am, with the camera facing the sun. I used a 300mm lens to get this. The minimum focusing on that lens is about 5 feet I would've tried getting closer with a different lens, but I didn't want to get stung. You can purchase this photo here.

Today I invited our neighbor Pucca over to the Bulge. The Bulge is the least-used section of the Land of the Couch. Pucca was born in China, but she's Korean, and now lives with us, just down the hall.
I challenged her to a game of Three-in-a-Row. I chose the panda pieces and she chose the girl pieces. I can't remember now who won... but we had fun! :o)
Ottmar: Three-in-a-Row, or tres en raya, is the way Tic-Tac-Toe is usually played in Spain. Each player has only three markers, so on your fourth move you have to move one of your markers to another free square. This makes playing more interesting than American-style Tic-Tac-Toe... but not all that interesting altogether! Jolly had fun, anyway, and I got time for myself to finish the book I was reading. And Pucca... well... I think she likes being around Jolly, and I think she tried to let him win...
"Jolly and Pucca, sitting on the couch, P-L-A-Y-I-N-G!" :o)
nachdem meine schlimme Freundin *fg* das Packerl schon aufgemacht hat kann ichs ja auch zeigen ;-))
Three in a row: Cakes
12:12 on 12/12/12... It’s a date that comes around once every 100 years, and Wednesday marks the end of a string of annual numerical repetitions for the 21st century. We won't even get any more repeating digits until 2/2/22 (2022), and certainly not the same three-in-a-row style until 1/1/1 (2101).

I made this photo at the customer counter in the paint section of a large building supply store. I doubt many customers walking through this store would point their smartphone cameras in this direction but I thought it a perfect photo opportunity for my Canon Powershot SX50 that I always carry with me when I am out and about.
Tom is a friend and neighbor of Bill and Alice who were walking through their neighborhood. Tom wanted to get in the photo I was about to take of Bill and Alice. I shot the photo of the couple first; shown in the previous slide. Then I took this photo of the three of them as they posed. This is the second group shot after I decided it better to use fill flash for this sunny day photo.
