I spotted these three deer right on the trail along Monocacy Creek. They turned and ran off right after this, but I caught up with them a little later.

One of the safety lights on the roof of former Amtrak RTG Turboliner No. 59 is still in place and looks as though it still might work. But the other two lights have been removed or stolen. The power sits abandoned east of Dugger, Indiana.

As if the registrations aren't a givaway, this trio were part of the fleet of Bluebird Bus & Coach of Chadderton, Greater Manchester.

The company was taken over by Stagecoach in February of 2013. These three members of the fleet were on display at the Trans Lancs rally at Heaton Park in September of that year.

Those store bought ones don't come with stems and leaves- these are from a friend who got them at her mother's house in Phoenix.

We had stunning weather today, high temperatures of over 11 C! In Calgary, most of the snow is gone, but it's persisting nicely in the mountains and foothills. With our excellent ice grips, we were passing all the other hikers on the trail, including a group of 20-something fellows! Not bad for a couple of odd fogeys!

This is the closest thing I have to Christmas decorations. I'm not against the holiday: my husband and I just don't decorate. Saves on cleaning up later. :)

When we lived in Connecticut, we had the loveliest neighbors. Dieter and Linda grew up in Germany during WWII--in what became East Germany. Somehow, they managed to be in West Germany at the right time. Dieter trained as a baker, Linda as a seamstress. Eventually, they ended up in Connecticut and owned a very successful bakery. They had long retired by the time we moved in next door. When we moved to California, they gave us this lovely little set of angels, which came from Germany.

Dieter and Linda are some of the best people you could get to know. And not just for the baked goods.

Happy Holidays to all my Flickr friends! Because of the upcoming holidays, I will be off and on Flickr--probably more off. So take care, and I will catch up in the New Year!

H.F.S. Morgan's first car design was a single-seat three-wheeled runabout which was fabricated for his personal use in 1909. Interest in his runabout led him to patent his design and begin production. While he initially showed single-cylinder and twin-cylinder versions of his runabout at the 1911 Olympia Motor Exhibition, he was convinced at the exhibition that there would be greater demand for a two-seat model.

Morgan built his cars' reputation by entering them in competitions. One of his racing cars won the 1913 Cyclecar Grand Prix at Amiens in France. This became the basis for the Grand Prix model of 1913 to 1926, from which evolved the Aero, Super Sports, and Sports models.[2]

These models used air-cooled or liquid-cooled variations of motorcycle engines.[3] The engine was placed ahead of the axis of the front wheels in a chassis made of steel tubes brazed into cast lugs.[4]

The V-Twin models were not returned to production after World War II.

The original and fantastic three-wheeler from the Morgan Company, a sporty car which made its original début in the 1930's, but has since had a nostalgic rebirth.

I was on a little photo strawl and the sunset was awesome yet another time. So I started looking for new angles, perspectives to shoot the frankfurt skyline. I found this.. I hope you like it!
