11.12.09 67/365 I finally splurged on a serious luxury...sheets with a thread count higher than 250. Amazing. I'll never sleep on cheap sheets again.
Barbour Threads was our first explore after crossing into ireland. We only saw a small part this time but it was excellent all the same!
The train wires have always scared me a bit. I had this image of them being arms and coming to get me as a child. But now I love them. They're peaceful and steady, and they lead me to places I've never been to, in my favorite way of transportation: the train.

Followed these guys (Threads), around with my camera all day. Was meant to be helping them out by doing some filming but photos did a happen. Granted I did some filming but I was more interested in getting some shots. First ever photos i've done like this, i'd say I did ok considering!

This picture was taken for the Daily Challenge - something that starts with the letter 'N'. My first idea was to find household product that said 'New and Improved'. Oddly enough, I couldn't find any. My next idea was that ancient artifact - a newspaper. But I don't have any since I read my papers at the library. So, I went with the needle and thread. It works.
Taken for April 3rd Our Daily Challenge - Something that starts with 'N'.
Inside. I had these tiny scissors from Spiced Coffee- they'll have to hang out in here until I can find some folding ones.
Made with this cute tute- www.sewmamasew.com/2011/01/travel-sewing-case-tutorial/ I made it a bit bigger and with 2 elastics to hold it closed, but otherwise I followed the tute.
The little bee (or whatever) eaters project as of today. It's not finished - the black frame is just for picture purposes ! The padding REALLY is tricky on that one. Blending thread is even more difficult than on the squirrel piece (since there are so MANY colours on these two birds...) I wonder if I can complete it all before deadline (June 27). But hey, you can never stitch too much right ? ;)

A pair of Campagnolo Record hubs. These have French freewheel threads (34.7 x 1 mm.). Spacing is 100 mm. front, 120 mm. rear. The vermillion enamel inside the cut-outs must have complimented the c.1970 bike from which these were taken... a racing bike which was built by Rene Herse - which explains that minor attention to detail. But, otherwise, it is simply an extremely smooth Campagnolo hub and many were produced to accept French freewheels intended for use on top quailty French racing bikes.

Not that we would ever recommend getting a full body wax, but whatever you do, avoid getting it done in Vietnam. Here's why:

CSX Q539 threads the Needle at Bummer, KY as it exits Tunnel 14 on the CC Subdivision. Work screwed me going into my off day...surprise...so a two day trip was cut down to one and a quarter...and we didn't see one train the first day.
The thread is Opera, light yellow, size 10. Crocheted with a Boye size 6 hook.
I made this some time ago so I'll have to search to discover which pattern book it came from. I think it may have been an old issue of Magic Crochet.
