In the darkness of the marsh where everything is thick and green.
The swamp things young play around the earthy waters, in and out and in between.
Slithering, crawling and walking about, the slimy things move completely unseen.
Never get to close when photographing this one, Mom can be really mean.
Created again by photographing a large block of ice and mirroring it, only this time no lights, no flash.
I have loved using medium format film but the cameras I have are very much point and pray. I have been looking for a TLR with a little more control to get more into 120 film but the trouble is my budget is very limited. Eventually I found this Lomo Lubitel 166. It has aperture control and a few different shutter speeds too. Its not much but its a step in the right direction. The other thing that drew me to this was the fact it was a 1980 Moscow Olympics Edition. The first 35mm SLR I bought was the Canon AE-1 1980 Olympic Edition and given it was the year I was born it seemed like a good fit. Despite buying a lot of film yesterday I forgot to buy some Fuji Superia 400 120 which is the film I always use as my first roll so I will buy some on Monday and post the results soon!
This time I had a pencil at the restaurant! This one took 20 minutes. It's of my friends OC Alec, he's a cute thing at 5'7 1/4 and weighs a whopping 115 pounds (woooow) my friend doesn't come on Flickr so I can tease his OC all I want. He's a whole lot of sassy in his tiny little body, haha.
.
I'm trying to post more art because I've kinda turned this account into a Life With Kai blog, it seems. I'll try post more art guys, I'm really sorry for being so lazy.
Seen parked in the Square, Winchester, this is a rare Alvis Speed 20 SA, which left the Coventry factory on the 31st of December 1931, chassis number 9335.
The Alvis Speed 20 was a British touring car that was made between late 1931 and 1936 by Alvis Car and Engineering Company in Coventry. It was developed during 1931 to compete with other manufacturers who were marketing "Sports Cars", a new thing at the time. Previously such cars were "Sporting Cars" and were hotted-up versions of standard products.
The 87 bhp (65 kW) 6 cylinder 2,511cc engine for the Speed 20 was a heavily modified version of the one used in their preceding Silver Eagle cars with a four bearing crankshaft and overhead pushrod operated valves fitted with multiple small helical springs. Triple HV4 type SU carburettors were fitted and ignition was by both coil and a polar induction magneto, the engine and single plate clutch unit sat on flexible conical rubber mountings in a system used by Alvis from 1925.
The chassis was new and lowered by making it a "double drop" type where the side rails go over the front and rear axles. A centralised one-shot lubrication system was fitted allowing oil to be provided to moving suspension parts through a maze of pipework. Both front and rear suspension used underslung half-elliptic leaf springs, the front spring being fitted transversely, and telecontrolled adjustable friction dampers were fitted, enabling the stiffness of the suspension could be adjusted whilst driving. Steering is via a steering box, the drop arm of which is connected to a short link arm operating a bell crank mounted on the inside of the offside chassis rail, the bell crank is connected to the two track rods which pass under the chassis.
The powerful self-servo ‘floating cam’ brakes, with 14 in (356 mm) drums, were mechanically operated in a special design whereby all the components were held in either tension or compression, resulting in no loss of motion in the system. The four-speed manual non-synchromesh gearbox was mounted in-unit with the engine.
As with many upmarket engineering companies of the time, Alvis did not produce their own coachwork, relying instead on the many available coachbuilders in the Midlands area. A total of 351 SA chassis were produced; 96 with Charlesworth saloon bodies, 64 with Cross & Ellis sports, including the car in the photo, and 130 bodied by Vanden Plas, saloons, sports and coupes. The remaining 61 chassis were fitted with bespoke bodies by such makers as Mayfair, Thrupp & Maberley, Carlton, Duple, Carbodies, Mulliner and Grose, to name but a few. Several were sold "out to the trade" as "chassis only" and bodied locally by their owners and have not been recorded. Approximately 91 cars are thought to survive world-wide
Why do I only catch their interactions on camera when the the sun is setting and the room is dark? Still, I thought the series shows a glimpse into the beautiful relationship between these two wee beasties.
Amazingly, Diamond adores Magnus as much as she adores Bogart. Guess she's just a canine-loving feline.

It's February and you know what that means. This will be your assigned rover for this month. It collects balls from outer space and loads them into the designated ball slot.
More information about each ball slot, from the Roverball Manual:
- Dark Transparent Ball Slot: Contains the driver. The Roverball can only be operated by a Professional Certified Ball Collector.
- Green Transparent Ball Slot: Contains the engine. The engine makes use of the official Ball-powered Diesel Gas, manufactured by Octanball & Sons Ltd.
- Purple Ball Slot: Contains space wine. Do not let extraterrestrial lifeforms drink space wine under any circumstances, unless such extraterrestrial lifeforms happen to have an official Octanball & Sons Ltd Free Space Wine Coupon in their possession.
- Yellow Ball Slot: Contains space custard. Do not load space mustard into the space custard slot. Short-sighted Professional Certified Ball Collectors are required to wear their official Space Glasses at all times to prevent risk of explosion.
- Small Grey Ball Slot: It's just for show, doesn't do anything.
After 5 years, it's time to say goodbye to Canon. My beloved 100D is replaced by this sexy thing , the OM-D E-M5 Mark III with the M.Zuiko 12-100mm f/4 IS Pro.
So this is the last picture taken by the 100D, along with the magnificent EF 50 f/1.8 STM. I cannot think of a better farewell than welcoming this beast, that will be my gear from now on!
I bought one of the Warsman's (www.flickr.com/photos/63168449@N07/) Thing figures, and it is amazing! Sadly my poor photo-taking skills do not do this guy justice. The cracks in the hide are spot-on, the painting is great, I just can't say how great this guy is. Go out and buy one of these NOW. I mean, right now. Although, I'm not sure he's taking any more orders right now. If he's not, do whatever you can to get one of these. Or any of his other figures, you will not be disappointed!
"Wild thing, think I love you.
But I wanna' know for sure.
Come on hold me tight.
You move me."

Another for session 1 of the Creative Black and White course.
For this one, the first thing I did was to crop out the large white area to the left of the image - this took a sizeable chunk out of the image, so I decided to go to a square aspect ratio.
I then set the white balance using the paint line on the ground as a guide, and applied a black and white conversion using one of the presets from Hacking pack that was part of the bonus material (Heart of Darkness, to be precise). This was close to the look I wanted, but not exact, so I adjusted the contrast slightly, then ran the image through the Nik COLOR efex plugin - not Silver Efex, as I prefer to use the Detail extractor tool of Color efex to the Structure tool of Silver Efex, although the two are nearly identical - to bring out the grungy textures of the wood and the walls.
In Photoshop, I have a script that applies a Sepia tone that I really like, so I ran that on the image to finish it off.

So I was putting my Lego stuff away since I'm leaving for college in a couple weeks and I decided I needed to build one last thing; so here is my jet thing. Thanks to all of you who inspired me to make one last creation, keep building awesome stuff. I might make a dio or something with this too. If you guys want to see different views or have trouble seeing it well since I'm a terrible photographer let me know and I'll try to upload something better.
So I did a thing and decided that I needed to try something different than just gowns and dresses. I have always wanted to create some shabby chic home decor and now it is time! Available inworld at my mainstore: maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Paradise%20Sunshine/53/215/28

WEEK 12 – Manifest Columbia, Set III
As Iron Man looks on, our final shot for today’s upload set is focused on this… thing… located in the rear center of Manifest’s salesfloor. I say “thing” – obviously, this is a desk of some sort. In fact, it looks most like a desk that functions as a sales register… but I stop short at calling it that, based on the fact that it simply looked to me as if it hadn’t been used in that capacity in quite a long time. Now, I could be wrong on this… that handheld scanner beside the computer does look fairly new, after all. My personal theory is still that this was used not for customer transactions, though, but instead – if anything – for internal processing.
More on why I think that next time, as we’ll start our photoset right back here at this desk – that’ll be three weeks from now, so be sure to come on back for that. More pertinently for now, though: next week – more closing Sears stuff…

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)
The thing I was most eager to see in Iceland was Jökulsárlón, the Glacier Lake. And I loved every second there. It is an amazing sight to see the bits of ice being thrown onto the black beach, submerged, dipped into the water. Well, I loved it. I could have spent two weeks there and I'm sure I'd still find something to photograph.
So I took loads and loads and loads of pictures and you'll get several uploads.
All pictures clickable and some more in the set.
