These coneflowers are tall and leaning over the pond! Thought you might like this view! The humidity has dropped here for a day or two, yeapie, lots of work outside can be finished! Smiles to you my friends!
These are what appears to be two siblings huddling together. Such gorgeous looking little characters. Little Owls were introduced to New Zealand from Germany between 1906 and 1910, with the intention that they would help control the numbers of small introduced birds, which were becoming a pest in grain and fruit crops. With the exception of one pair released in Rotorua, all were liberated in the South Island. Little owls bob up and down if startled and have an undulating flight pattern.

These little chocolates were a Christmas present. There were many unique flavors, but these are 2 of my favorite:)
These fish are noctural and bury themselves in sand or mud during the day. They are able to change colour and the males sing to atract females at night. It is an interesting read if you
google Midshipman Fish and listen to a cool video of them singing.
These two were taking pictures for a very long time outside the post office in Talad Noi. This iconic building is a favourite for Instagrammers
These boots are made for walkin'
And that's just what they'll do
One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you
You keep playin' where you shouldn't be playin'
And you keep thinkin' that you'll never get burnt (ha)
I just found me a brand new box of matches, yeah
And what he knows you ain't had time to learn
These boots are made for walkin'
And that's just what they'll do
One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you
Are you ready, boots? Start walkin'

These roses were fully opened on February 2nd and were too heavy for their slender stems and were touching the ground. So here they are in a tall slender cobalt blue vase.

Day 33 - February 2, 2021
I took a bunch of shots of the sunrise over the Lake and spend some time trying to take the bugs out of the shots, but decided to post this one first showing all the dragon flies and bugs flying around in the morning

These clouds appeared after a heavy storm in southern Maryland. They were so low I thought if I had a ladder I could touch them. No photoshop here!
These squirrels are certainly on the large side measuring up to 16 inches in length. This one photographed near the summit of Logan Pass in Montana was found in their typical mountain habitat.
At the time I took this photograph I didn't posses a zoom lens. As such even with a small crop it can be seen how tame the squirrel was.

this is the story--an adventure--a journey--a mystery--of a girl.
i've been eating, sleeping, breathing, dreaming about doing this series for almost 2 years now. it is finally starting. there are ups and downs, pain and laughter, heat and exhaustion, excitement and starvation, sea sickness..and a whole lot more. this is my dream, and it is happening...right before my eyes. want to take the journey with us? keep coming back for more!
these 'roadside" daylilies bloom in my garden every year. I have other varieties of hemerocallis as well as they are among my most favourite perennials. Pest-free and virtually maintenance free :-)
These old and now unused mooring points tell a story of a busier port with fishing vessels and traditions now long gone. For me they are a reminder of things we have lost. Still standing strong is the Forth Bridge her usefulness remains thankfully
These tiny critters, with all their detail, are fun to shoot -

I saw these two weathered farm buildings just sitting off the highway. Of course I had to stop and take their photo. There is something about old farm buildings that I really like. Especially when they have a lean to them. This one leans to the south which tells me it has survived many northern winter winds.

These ground cherries were grown by my son and his spouse in their garden this year. I love the thin paper-like covering that surrounds the fruit.
These two roads worked well together in the years prior to the BNSF merger. Many times MRL used their power to move trains when BN was power short at Laurel.
One of the interesting combinations is climbing the hill west of Livingston through the site of a tunnel daylighted by Northern Pacific.

These beautiful roses are another gift from my neighbours. They droop over our dividing fence. Thank you neighbours 😊
Thank you for taking the time to look at my photos. If you choose to Fave my photos or leave comments, I am truly grateful for your input. Thank you very much 😊
These bacteria mats were pretty amazing to me. Primordial looking. This was taken at the Midway Geyser Basin with my camera resting on the boardwalk. These are bacterial mats that extend everywhere, surviving on the heat of the springs. So cool to see. I remain amazed at Yellowstone!
these bison bulls stand 6 to 7 feet tall at the shoulder and weigh up to 2,000 pounds - they can eat 30 pounds of grass a day - jump 6 feet high and 7 feet horizontally and run up to 35 mph - "Bisonguards" on the prairie preserve roads are 14 feet wide which is double the standard width of a cattleguard
These beauties seem to flower when they're a bit stressed, their magenta glow is rather captivating.

These cute grebes were seen passing each other (not friends I guess !) at Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve. However, they are both breeding indicated by the black vertical stripes on their bills

These hummingbirds stop in the Davis Mountains of far west Texas on their way south. This appears to be a female.
Bethel Park Pennsylvania, about a mile from where I was born.
Retired in 2001 from service, I probably rode on this 500 times as I lived along the line in two different homes growing up.
The building in the background was the first grade school built around 1905. I wasn't around then!
These gorgeous wombats are only a few months old, I was lucky enough to visit, while on Flinders Island, the home of a very caring lady who rescues joeys from their mums after roadkill, see below the story...
