Each room had a balcony with a day bed. It was a great place to hang out and read while drinking a gin and tonic with no VAT! (Pondicherry is a Union Territory which is famous for not having VAT on liquore. The funny thing is that thereis a normal 5-15% VAT on everything else, but liquor has 0% VAT!)

This is the other side of Carver Hall where I put some different plants in. The small shrubs are bronx forsythia-a kind of creeping forsythia we don't have on campus. Thereis also snowberry, sweetspire, arrowood viburnum and oakleaf hydrangea.

Another one of the helpers for the family. This is in the kitchen. THe stove she is sitting out is multi purpose. There is a metal tube that runs threw it to heat the water taht goes into the big tank next to it to use for bathing. So where there is cooking, thereis hot water.
