It has 154 thousand acres and is crossed by the Carretera Austral along 40 kilometers.

The name of this park in the chonos language, means "sound of waterfalls" and is known for its beautiful landscapes and exuberant nature, with an evergreen forest and an forest of ferns, orchids, vines and large nalca leaves that are found along the Carretera Austral.

It is also a habitat for native fauna such as the black woodpecker, kingfisher, different types of ducks, pudúes, cougar, red fox, black-necked swans, and other species.

It has many attractions like Salto Padre Garcia, Salto del Condor, the Risopatrón Lake and Los Pumas Lagoon, besides the impressive Queulat hanging snowdrift, a glacier that hangs from the Alto Nevado hill, 2255 meters above sea level.

From this height thereis an impressive waterfall, providing a unique show that can be seen from the Carretera Austral.

The sunflowers out east are almost past their prime so I hurried to sneak out to this spot last night. This field goes on for close to a mile. I walked to the middle of the field and sat with the cameras for awhile quietly and in awe… Therei s an old saying, “Fishing is not about catching fish”. I think you could apply this to landscape photography as well. I had some lens flare in the pic but I thought it added to the shot, opinions welcome as are shares. Thanks for the view! #colorado #sunflowers #hdr

...some music (Jynweythek Ylow - Aphex Twin) here, but hurry up, to download it you have only two days from...now!

I was looking through archives of our travels for a screen saver on my new computer. Don't know why. It can't be seen most of the day with programs open, but I wanted it, and that's sufficient. From Monterey to Yosemite to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons, I looked for something on which I would be able to see shortcut icons. After quite a search, and guaranteed to be only in passing, I found a shot I made of the mountain's glaciers and "Eskimo" with my wife, also only in passing as in photobombing ;-)

We were about another hour and half before we'd reach the base of the (usually) blue-white glaciers at 8,000 feet at the foot of the mountain. All I can tell you is that the air is so clear and clean, there is a "taste" and the compulsion to draw in the largest breath possible. That was the color of the sky. I wanted puffy clouds, but in eight (?) visits to Mt. Rainier, I've never seen even one cloud over the mountain.

There is a point at which you used to be able to catch a glimpse of Mt. Saint Helens, but that's literally gone since May 18,1980. The year before - to the day, is when that Mt. Saint Helens blew its stack, and we haven't seen it since. The road from Rainer was blocked to traffic the three times we were there after 1990.

It is one of my favorite parks. I guess visiting eight times either shows a love of the place or a very bad memory. Each time, we took "new trails." Skyline is one of the best, but leave yourself a full day... Well, in face, every trail "requires" a full day. The one to Mirrow Lake is stunning, but it is a more difficult route traversing moraine where Pikas snub me and a stream that created real problems on our return and led to my first balancing act across a tree to the other side. No, there's no rails to hold onto. Worse, the trail is mismarked and many of the signs are gone. Surprize!

Go to my album of Mt. Rainier as see photos of Mirror Lake. Thereis the story of how a very old lady (well, we thought 87 and tramping through the forest..) helped us find our way back to the car. She was both a character and a special memory of the 2013 visit. (It was also 101° when we were there, unheard of - of course - and another "special memory."

Oh, I said I would explain the "Eskimo" of Mt. Rainier. I can't believe that I'm the only one who sees it (more clearly from a greater distance), but the black area front and center looks like an Eskimo with the hood from his parka...

So, a small break in the wildflowers, then to resume Monday.

This is my newest journal.

i love to travel ...

have always been inspired by where people come from and cultures ...

i always go the opposite of the tourist i walk up to the local and say show me the way...

i traveled for months on the train in germany ....

i find inspiration all around me but mostly by going somewhere new...

finding a new place of beauty....

whenever we travel anywhere we call it an adventure....

. . yes, but which 1's mine?

Have been at work all day, dear friends, and just got back (2300 hours) for this quick post before bed.

There's always something eerie about empty carparks at night. The silence - but which isn't really quiet, there's always noise even if all there is, is a low hiss or even hum. Then, there's that awful feeling . . . where you know you're alone, but you feel you're not, and you're scared - because we've seen too many movies!

Talking of which . . what are your favorite movie scenes involving carparks?

C'mon . . . . tell all!

Model H Summer 1946- May 1948 Sales: 139,000 (approximate)

* One piece crankcase casting w/side cover access

* Improved bearings

* Improved seals & tappetts

* Elimination of oil pump (splash/spray lubrication)

* Changed exhaut design

* Twist off gas cap

* Tillotson carb replaces B/T unit

THE FIRST MODERN WHIZZER! Look at the improvement in the sales! The big news was that with WW2 over, an enormous pent up demand existed for ANYTHING that

moved (new cars were hard to come by and you had to wait for up to 18 months to get one)... but the Whizzer finally evolved into a quality machine capable of both performance and long life. Most Whizzers encountered are Model H's.

The Model H (introduced in the summer of 1946) changed everything. The most significant development for the company was that bicycle manufacturers began to take notice of these little engines and set out to design bicycles around them.

In late 1947 Cleveland Welding produced a type of Roadmaster specifically for the Whizzer engine (maybe 1,000 were produced; note that all sales figures mentioned are for kits only, perhaps an additional 5% of the H's and

later models were installed in preassembled bikes at best).

Schwinn would become involved with Whizzer in late 1947 through a patent conflict with Cleveland Welding.

Model H kit price: $97.55

Even with the prassembled bikes, the most commonly encountered Whizzers are of the kit variety. Most will be found on various 26" men's (there are no girl's Whizzers) bikes such as Cleveland Welding, JC Higgins, Shelby, BF Goodrich (a Schwinn licensee) and Schwinn itself.

THEREIS NO TYPICAL WHIZZER. What you see when encountering a kit bike is some kid's idea of what a motorized bicycle should be 50 years ago... if it's 'restored' you get the restorer's idea of nostalgia.

I really do need more practice in taking a Selfie, Missed half my face in this one.!!

Trent most efficaciously inventing new drumbeats whilst being shittily photographed by me!

Everyone *DIEZ* of evil laughter at the sight of this shot. 8O Ahem.

My epic Trent encounter went something like this:

Rat: "O HAI! Thanks for coming!" (AND THANKS FOR 32492093583 OTHER THINGS I WOULD MENTION HAD I NOT BEEN A SOCIAL 'TARD! WITH LIMITED TIME! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!)

Trent: "Hi." *handshake* (Or whatever he said... Anyway, the moment just happened to be photographically documented by enf2k5!)

Rat: *presents the presence page of year zero's cd booklet*

Trent: *signs*

Rat: "It's for my friend, she couldn't be here because she has a life..." (She probably would have been there if Düsseldorf had been announced before Arvika, where my busy busy friend ended up going and where no meet & greet was held!)

Trent: "A what?"

Rat: "A life."

Trent: "Oh, I thought you said she has an iPhone." (This would of course cut into one's gig budget... *shudder* I'd never let an iPhone do that shit to me!)

Rat: "Heh. Thank you, can I take a picture?"

Any poor fuck to whom the above question was ever posed: *cannot decline*

Camera flash: *blinds*

Rat: "Cool. Kthxbai!" *runs like hell*

Trent (to someone): "Rob made that shirt." (I was wearing Rob Sheridan's "Reading is for faggots!" T-shirt.)

Rat: *splodes and turns back to where trent is telling justin the shirt's history* "I wasn't sure you'd remember them." (UMMMMMM... Could any non-senile person FORGET them?)

Trent: "Yeah, I remember them."

And we all took a group photo where I ended up between Robin and Justin, faaaaaaairly good times. :)

Before the meeting I explicitly ordered myself to:

1. Memorize the handshake.

Result: FAIL! At least I know it happened. XD

2. Look certain people in the eyes. Eye contact is generally not my cuppa, since it feels like standing in front of an approaching train. However, I would be happy to let Trent run me over and maul me against the track until my guts flew in every direction. Wait, wat? Anyway - special eye contact with special people is special.

Result: No idea! 8D *SELFSPANK* So obviously I had to spend 5 WHOLE GIGS creepily staring at him. :) (OK, not the entire time.)

The ultimate reason for this meet & greet was GODAWFUL AMERICAN HEALTH CARE. :(

The true windows of our Life is beyond this image...beyond the computer and the internet that we use now...but the reality of the people around us even while reading this...and extends to our family, our friends, our community, the common people...even up to all the farthest places on Earth...and even expands to the vast reaches of Humanity...for our perception in Life goes beyond the aesthetic sense of an image or a picture, or what can be read...but immersing ourselves in understanding what is real and what is True Life thereis...for the Truth comes from the Heart...for we are people...who are the ones who are truly alive...

Ask about the "new" revolution in Egypt and activists will say the last one never ended, and won't.

Egyptian revolutionaries and several political groups are calling for a million man protest on July 8th for weeks now. The call is getting more attention and more support especially from young protesters after the events of Tuesday and Wednesday. Unlike May 27 therei are many provocations making people more pissed off , forcing them to head to Tahrir square once again.

This is the youngest camera in my collection, barelly 10 years old. It was love at first sight. The camera is all in alluminium and extremely well finished. The pic doesn't do justice but it is very small and handsome. It might be compact, but it is big in specifications. It packs an impressive 28-120 mm zoom into such a diminutive body. The downside is that the lens is terribly slow (5,6/12,5). However, it seems that the lens quality is very high for such a camera. It managed to beat the Minolta TC-1 lens and to top the Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar of the Kyocera.

Another good thing is the level of manual control. You have all the normal flash modes and B, yes, time for long esposures. You also can choose from multi-AF or single and multi-zone metering or spot metering. Also, there is the panorama option hidden at the bottom of the camera, nice touch with a 28mm lens. The tinny flash zooms with the lens, just like the big pro cobra flashes and thereis a remote control.

The viewfinder has dioptric correction and it is fairly decent.

All in all, an interesting little camera that I had never heard of and the info on the net is virtually zero.

However in the US it still survives as a technology company producing imaging products for the business to business sector. Thereis a separate UK business

Look! From my window there’s a view

of city streets

where only lives as dry as tortoises

can crawl—the Galapagos of desire.

There is the day of Negroes with red hair

and the day of insane women on the subway;

there is the day of the word Trieste

and the night of the blind man with the electric guitar.

But I have no profession. Like a spy

I read the papers—Situations Wanted.

Surely there is a secret

which, if I knew it, would change everything!

I have the poor man’s nerve-tic, irony.

I see through the illusions of the age!

The bell tolls, and the hearse advances,

and the mourners follow, for my entertainment.

I tread the burning pavement,

the streets where drunkards stretch

like photographs of civil death

and trumpets strangle in electric shelves.

The mannequins stare at me scornfully.

I know they are pretending

all day to be in earnest.

And can it be that love is an illusion?

When darkness falls on the enormous street

the air is filled with Eros, whispering.

Eyes, mouths, contrive to meet

in silence, fearing they may be prevented.

O businessmen like ruins,

bankers who are Bastilles,

widows, sadder than the shores of lakes,

then you were happy, when you still could tremble!

But all night long my window

sheds tears of light.

I seek the word. The word is not forthcoming.

O syllables of light ... O dark cathedral ...

Finding Local Keywords - Local Keywords Research - www.howtoseo.us There are a million and one keyword research tools out there. And everyone of them claim to find the hidden gems that the other tools overlook. I'll admit, I have purchased dozens of these over the years! What can I say, I'm a sucker for good sales copy. While some of them have some pretty cool features, I always end up just going back to the tried and true method of using Google's own data. This tutorial shows the process that I use to discover the best KWs for any local client. The best part is that these don't cost a dime to use. They do, however, require a little time to compile a comprehensive list but once it's done, you'll have all the data you need for several months worth of content marketing. Here are the three tools I use: 1. Google Trends www.google.com/trends/ 2. Google KW Planner adwords.google.com/ko/KeywordPlanner 3. Google Suggest Tool ubersuggest.org/ Step 1: Enter your seed KWs into the Trends tool and filter by location. You can go broad or narrow all the way down to a city level. I generally try to get as narrow as possible by going all the way to the city level. But there are times where there won't be enough data so you have to widen the area by going up a level to a region. This is the hierarchy that I would follow: city - region - state - country In other words, look at city level first and if you have a good amount of data, then your golden. But if thereis little or no data, move up to region. If not enough there, move up to state, and so on. Once you have a good data set to work with, take notes on the "Top" terms as well as the "Rising". These will be used as seed KWs in the KW Planner. And be sure to take advantage of the ability to compare up to 5 KWs at a time. You can get a great list of seed KWs based on their interest level in your target location. Step 2: Go to the KW Planner and set the Targeting to your target city. Paste your list of KWs that you generated from Trends and click "Get Ideas". After it thinks for a moment you be served with two tabs, "Ad Group Ideas" and "Keyword Ideas". Both of these tabs can provide valuable insights into the KWs that Google determines are relevant and in fact, the Ad Group Ideas can be used to help design website silo structure, but that is for another blog post! Go to the Keyword Ideas tab and look at the results to get more of a feel for the related terms. Or just go ahead and export the list because next you're going to want to go through the exported csv file and eliminate all of the KWs that aren't relevant. This can take a while! The csv file will usually contain about 800 KWs! After you filter them you may still end up with several hundred KWs. Step 3: Go to Ubersuggest.org and enter your top level KW (usually the one with the highest search volume) along with you city name (i.e. insurance atlanta) and hit search. You'll have to go through that list, too, but you'll find some awesome KWs in there to target right away in an SEO campaign. Remember, always go for the low hanging fruit first. Just click on the green + sign for each KW that you want to keep and then when you're done you can copy the resulting list and add to your csv file in a separate tab. Step 4: This is something I recently started doing that also gives great ideas. Take some of the local terms returned by Ubersuggest and do a Google search on them. Look at the top 2 or 3 sites in the Google results page and click through to the website. Copy the URL and go back to the KW Planner and paste into the field labeled "Your Landing Page". The results you get from these landing page queries are the KWs associated with the top ranked websites for your target terms! This is a great way to spy on the top ranked competitors. Think about it, they have already done a lot of the research, so you might as well model their work. Download those as well and copy them into another tab of your Excel workbook. Now you should have a comprehensive local keyword list that you can use for building a site and for content marketing. This also helps you to gain a good understanding of the market for that industry which will help you design better campaigns.
