The Pool of London and Tower Bridge. Cranes and warehouses line the South bank, with lighters in the Thames. The area between London and Tower Bridges is known as the Upper Pool.
The Tower can be seen on the North bank with cranes in St Katherine, and London docks beyond.
Now HMS Belfast is docked here. The cranes and warehouses have been replaced by modern glass boxes.

Imagine a giant canvas where you can paint and splash light collaboratively. Giant concentric circles invite you to leap onto them. When you do, you enter a world where play and movement create swirling effects of light and colour. Welcome to The Pool.
More than 100 interactive circular platforms sit side by side. Each pad is independent and simultaneously interacts with and ‘listens’ to its environment, adjusting its output according to your movements. It senses where you place your feet, how heavily you land, and how quickly you leap and bound.
Together with all your ‘pool playmates’, you can instruct your pads to create complex, and delightfully unpredictable patterns of colour.

Have been to the Sutro Baths in SF on a few occasions in the past. I got an e-mail from another social networking group which listed this event for last Saturday evening as a photo tour with a price involved. This was harvest moon for the season and a full moon for the month! This shot comes before the full moon rose from the opposite horizon. I has other choice words for the title of this piece such as "Pond Scum," but I figured a title such as "ThePool" might be easier on the ears as the photo is on the eyes. Did some controls on this with the sky, sea, and pool all adjusted separately. It was very dramatic in the viewfinder & I wanted to give the RAW image that same justice.

The Big Thompson River just below The Pool. Lots of water coming down from the mountains which is a good thing. Everything was so pretty and green along the trail. Photo taken from the bridge that crosses the river; I stooped down as low as i could in order to get this POV. Since we ended our hike along the Fern Lake Trail early due to an approaching storm, the cloud cover allowed me to slow the shutter speed down considerably. Processed in FotoSketcher with an oil painting effect.

Rest and relaxation is a great way to describe this backyard, which houses a Mountain Pond pool by Pacific Pools! The Performance steps lead a safe way to the cool blue waters of this backyard!
This was the most fascinating part of the entire hike from a historical perspective (to me, at least). In 1853 Professor John Merrill came to The Pool with his wife and built a crude boat there. For the next 30 summers he would take interested sightseers on his boat to get a closer look at the falls (see next picture) for a nominal fee. He was able to live comfortably for the rest of the year off of the money he received for these mini-tours. He became known as "The Philosopher of The Pool" because he shared his unique philosophical views on the creation of the world with his passengers.
Paradise can be found in this Mountain Pond pool design from Pacific Pools. The serenity of the pools blue, matches well with the deck jets and the raised garden area takes the backyard to whole new levels!

Amy and I swam Laps at the pool last night. It was nice and quiet so we had no problems getting into the water. When I finished my laps I grabbed my camera to take a couple of shots.

Checked the weather forecast last night and rechecked this morning - Sun all day was promised.
It was full sun when we left our home but when we got to Melbourne (10 miles away) no where to be seen.
The birds were about, now at least 2 pairs of Goosander, but the light didn't get the memo and was very variable with little sun.
There were two pairs in separate areas and an unpaired ♀. On two occasions they came together, these are shot from both instances.

Blackpool reached the League Two play-off final as an injury-time own goal ended Luton's promotion hopes at the end of a remarkable, see-sawing tie.
The Hatters, trailing 3-2 from the first leg, fell further behind when Nathan Delfouneso opened the scoring.
Kelvin Mellor's own goal, Scott Cuthbert's header and Danny Hylton's penalty then hauled Luton in front.
But Armand Gnanduillet made it 5-5 on aggregate, before Stuart Moore's own goal sent the visitors to Wembley.
