The Pool was more than a BMX comp, it was one of the most extra-ordinary gatherings of the BMX community this century.
From the draining of a soon to be demolished local authority swimming pool in Dagenham, East London, into a world class park in less than two weeks was a feat in itself, but to see the diversity and level or riding on display at the launch event was truly remarkable.
40 international riders with a brand new team format saw non-comp riders, veterans, street destroyers and park animals all throw down into something far better than we could have dreamt of.

John Winston Ono Lennon Stanley, MBE (Liverpool, Inglaterra, 9 de octubre de 1940 – Nueva York, Estados Unidos, 8 de diciembre de 1980) fue un músico y compositor inglés que saltó a la fama como uno de los miembros fundadores de The Beatles, una de las bandas de más éxito comercial y de crítica de la historia de la música rock. Junto con Paul McCartney, formó una de las parejas de compositores más exitosas del siglo XX.(...) Alrededor de las 10:50 pm del 8 de diciembre de 1980, poco después de que Lennon y Ono volvieran al Dakota, el departamento de Nueva York donde vivían, Mark David Chapman disparó contra Lennon por la espalda cinco veces en la entrada al edificio. Along with fellow Beatle Paul McCartney, he formed one of the most successful songwriting partnerships of the 20th century.(...) On Wednesday 17th August, Brickworks Melbourne Design Studio held the 2016 Venice Biennale wrap up event ‘The Pool’ where 51 guests were transported to Venice with Aperolz Spritz’s and Peach Bellini’s on arrival as well as delicious Italian inspired food throughout the evening.

This backyard offers a different option that can be formed from a Rectangle pool from Pacific Pools. The rounded edges and French Curve steps create a romantic getaway for this backyard. The beautiful cascades, and raised garden area give depth as well. Day or night, this backyard will take your breath away.
Looking toward the tunnel entrance, we look into the valley which led into the old tidal pool to which Liverpool's name is linked to. The opposite side of the valley is where the original "seven streets" of the old town were laid out, there were:
1) Bank Street (now Water Street)
2) Castle Street.
3) Chapel Street.
4) Dale Street.
5) Juggler Street (now High Street)
6) Moor Street (now Tithebarn Street)
7) Whiteacre Street (now Old Hall Street)
William Brown Street was originally named Shaws Brow. There was development here during the 18th Century, however, it was in the 19th Century when the grand civic buildings fronting William Brown Street were constructed.

Imagine a giant canvas where you can paint and splash light collaboratively. Giant concentric circles invite you to leap onto them. When you do, you enter a world where play and movement create swirling effects of light and colour. Welcome to The Pool.
More than 100 interactive circular platforms sit side by side. Each pad is independent and simultaneously interacts with and ‘listens’ to its environment, adjusting its output according to your movements. It senses where you place your feet, how heavily you land, and how quickly you leap and bound.
Together with all your ‘pool playmates’, you can instruct your pads to create complex, and delightfully unpredictable patterns of colour.
