So I'm listening to the best Cure album of all time, Disintegration, this morning. As I am gazing lovingly at Robert Smith on the cover I had an idea. So I emailed my trusty PhotoShop Wizard Flooz and she hooked me all kinds of up. I just gave her my picture and told her I wanted it be called Dyxintegration and this is what she created. Isn't she the best? I like that it looks like I have bangs. And that my lazy eye is so prominent. It gives me character.

Thanks Flooz for making my dreams come true!

Juno was an ancient Roman goddess, the protector and special counselor of the state. She is a daughter of Saturn and sister (but also the wife) of the chief god Jupiter and the mother of Mars and Vulcan. Juno also looked after the women of Rome.

As the patron goddess of Rome and the Roman empire she was called Regina ("queen") and, together with Jupiter and Minerva, was worshipped as a triad on the Capitol (Juno Capitolina) in Rome.

Juno's own warlike aspect among the Romans is apparent in her attire.

thanks to artist halorvic (halorvic.tumblr.com/tagged/doctor-who) for making me appreciate the Ten+Simm!Master pairing, as well as for any real emotions that this photostory manages to express.

Simm!Master is a head from a "The Wanted" boyband doll on a knock-off slim figure body. i changed his hair and facial hair some.

this is sort of AU, i guess. in a world where things could have been better...

Meet the Master: Villain, Megalomaniac, dastardly-bearded Timelord. His suavity is only topped by his nemesis the Doctor, which angers him to no end.

The Master thrives on coming up with ways to thwart his archenemy. Sometimes he'll send tiny plastic aliens at him. Sometimes he'll leave the Doctor's fine cloak near the catbox in hopes one of them will pee on it. Sometimes he'll push one of the other toys on the shelf in an effort to knock the Doctor over onto the floor, domino style.

Poor little guy never quite succeeds, though. He keeps trying to perfect his Tissue Compression Eliminator, since it doesn't seem to work. I haven't the heart to tell him it's just a tiny piece of plastic.

Following some quite impassioned feedback from members of the commissioning consortium, I've had another go at Simm's hair (in between packing my worldly chattels/day job).

As a golfer and fan of the game, and like so many others, I've always looked at The Masters as a magical, almost mythical, event. As can be seen above, the crowds were very thick but everybody was in great spirits!

The Masters, played at the equally esteemed and mythical club, Augusta National Golf Club, is unlike any other event and obtaining tickets to practice rounds and especially tournament rounds is beyond difficult. Tournament tickets have officially been unavailable for years. The only way to obtain one is through scalpers or the generosity of a Patron with a badge. In case you're wondering, people who attend The Masters are officially referred to as "Patrons" - just one of the many facets & traditions of this tournament that make it special. Through the generosity of friends, I've had the good fortune to attend The Masters twice - once on Friday and another time on a Saturday. Both times were magical.

Practice Round tickets are only available on a lottery basis. After sending in my application and striking out for the past six or seven years, I finally lucked out for 2011 and was able to get tickets for myself, my son, and my father. My father introduced me to the game of golf and we spent many, many hours together on various courses around US.

To be able to spend the day at such a special place with such special people is one of the highlights of my life.

The Marienschrein (Shrine of Mary) in Aachen Cathedral is a reliquary, donated on the order of the chapter of Mary around 1220 and consecrated in 1239. Along with the Karlsschrein, the artwork, which is from the transitional period between romanesque and gothic, is among the most important goldsmith works of the thirteenth century.
