Well, yesterday I managed to meet both Lindsay Lohan and Gillian Anderson in the space of a few hours...Phewwwww!!! What a day and what a week it's been so far!! Tuesday I saw Kylie Minogue at the O2 in London, Wednesday I saw Sophie Ellis Bextor at the Shepherds Bush Empire, then yesterday I went to Gillian Anderson's book signing for her first novel "A Vision Of Fire" at Watersones in Piccadilly, London and to finish it all off I went and saw Lindsay Lohan in her play "Speed the Plow" which apart from being far too short!! and my seats being far to HIGH UP!!! I was almost on the roof!!!...was awesome and as you can see I got to meet the Gorgeous Lindsay afterwards, despite the fact that she nicked my pen and I failed to get a selffie with her lol....Anyhoo......One more meeting left to complete my week, as I'm off to see Nina Conti perform at the Union Chapel in North London tonight, after that week, I think I'll need a loooooooooooooooooong lay down lol.......Have a great Weekend Ya'll....:)

The Mark E. Smith joker, playing card from the set given away with the New Musical Express in 1991.
...............................
I wasn't quite sure when the NME gave these cards away but according to what I could find through Google they were issued in 1991. I can't imagine many readers of the weekly ever having kept the whole set but I'm one of those 'sad' people who did. All in perfect nick due to being stored in a little, steel, playing-card box over the years.
.................
See the whole set in comment below.

tribute to the taxi drivers who provided a public transport service to the republicans of belfast during the troubles, when the english government cancelled all services in nationalist areas.
eight of these brave men were murdered by loyalist commandos, but the taxi service kept on going.

I hadn't bothered to take my best camera when I went out today as the weather was dull, but when I saw several of these gorgeous toadstools I borrowed my husband's and walked off with it. ;) This was the result.
There was a large ring of them near the horse chestnut trees in the Ashridge Estate.

Monument Valley.
Monument Valley is not really a valley. It was once a flat plain. Millions of years ago this plain was cracked by upheavals within the earth. These cracks widened and eroded, leaving the formations, which we see today, rising from the desert floor.
As part of our National Parks and Canyons trip we took a 90 minute flight over Monument Valley. Early morning provided us with a sunrise light making the huge landscape even more Awesome.

This photo of Andreas' chin is actually proof of a very fortunate outcome after she fell head-first down a flight of stairs Friday night as she and all three dogs came down the stairs together.
Her fall down and go 'boom'.
The Falls Theater was constructed in 1933. The cream brick building was inspired by the Moderne Art style, it most prominent feature being the stylized stone end piers, small stone motifs at the cornice, and the brightly colored marquee. The Falls Theater is located in the Little Falls Commercial Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a contributing property.
This park offers so much to see including the falls from various angles.
When I ventured a little past the fence line, I could hear hubby's voice..."hey hey". That made the couple on the bridge chuckle.
I obviously really like this angle, as I just realized I took an almost identical one back in Dec 2011. Link in comments
Lines Written on a Seat
on the Grand Canal, Dublin
O commemorate me where there is water,
Canal water, preferably, so stilly
Greeny at the heart of summer. Brother
Commemorate me thus beautifully
Where by a lock niagarously roars
The falls for those who sit in the tremendous silence
Of mid-July. No one will speak in prose
Who finds his way to these Parnassian islands.
A swan goes by head low with many apologies,
Fantastic light looks through the eyes of bridges -
And look! a barge comes bringing from Athy
And other far-flung towns mythologies.
O commemorate me with no hero-courageous
Tomb - just a canal-bank seat for the passer-by.
-Patrick Kavanagh
