"Underneath the leaves where the blackbirds turn blue
If there’s room for me
There’s room for you
Place your ear to the ground, you hear a voice
It sings the song
The whole night long
I am the melody of the fallen tree
What comes between me
You and me
So sadly transient, you’d never guess
It could ever be
So easy to see
Across a frozen field you hear a call"

On Spring Creek Mountain Road, there is no stairs, some windows cracked and the blinds drawn...........does that mean there's no one home?..........who tends the garden??
I love Autumn, the colours, the leaves, the light when the sun hits the trees. Everything is litteraly perfect.

8/23/08 - I'm ready to just fall and wait for someone to help me up. Ever have that falling dream, that's not exactly a dream? You lie in bed with closed eyes and suddenly feel as if you're about to hit the ground and jump. I've never actually seen a visual while having that dream, but it feels just as real. I've been having them a lot lately and each time my skin crawls just a little more. I'm ready to wake up in fragile arms.
I don't have much free time today and so this poor excuse of a photo will have to do. :/ I wanted to look like I was falling without actually having to fall for the picture. I did trip, though!

"We've tried so hard to understand, but we can't. We held the world out in our hands and you ran away. It takes some time to let you go and it shows. 'Cause all we know is falling, it falls. Remember, cause I know that we won't forget at all." - Paramore.

This was the scene behind a red leafed tree in Bishops Palace Gardens, Chichester today... I wanted to capture the light as it fell on the leaves, so I positioned the tree between my camera and the sun in such a way as to allow a small part of the sun's direct light to still be visible.

The vibrant red coloured leaves on this Japanese Maple tree immediately caught my eye, plus I really like the contrast of the blue doors in the background.
I am glad I captured this at the time because the following week I was at the same spot and the tree was totally bare.

Japanese Maples (Acer palmatum) are a species native to Japan, Korea, Taiwan and eastern China and are renowned for their staggering beauty in both autumn leaf colour and interesting bark.
Acer palmatum - Japanese Maple
The Japanese Maple has been grown in temperate areas around the world since the 1800s, but had been cultivated in Japan for centuries. The first specimen of the tree reached England in 1820.
They are a popular choice for bonsai enthusiasts and have been used throughout the history of the art.
Most are ideally grown in sun to part shade in a sheltered spot away from strong winds. Maples do well in pots, as well as the garden.

Condamine River Road, The Falls, QLD. Whilst walking Condamine River I found this pair seeing off another rival pair from an obviously valuable log (casuarina (She-oak)). Though they are often seen in groups (probably parents and juveniles), its seems they won't tolerate some newcomers. BT's seem to maintain a territory all year round as a pair.
Falls of the Ohio State Park is a state park in Indiana. It is located on the banks of the Ohio River at Clarksville, Indiana, across from Louisville, Kentucky.
The park is part of the Falls of the Ohio National Wildlife Conservation Area. The 390-million-year-old fossil beds are among the largest, naturally exposed, Devonian fossil beds in the world. The main feature of the park is the exposed fossil beds of the Jeffersonville Limestone dated from the Devonian period.
