They serve a great Old Fashioned, not a bad view either

This is a panoramic photo of the tallest tower in the world, the famous Burj Dubai; which nowadays is higher than 780 meters and has over 160 floors, but the final height has not been confirmed yet (as it is still under construction).

This is a view from the Palace Hotel and the picture was made by stitching together 3 horizontal photos taken at 22mm with a DSLR, no way to get it all in only 1 picture (without a wider angle lens)

"The Address" is somewhat funny name for an building but this is absolutely most amazing and coolest looking building on the planet. Looks very "Jules Verne" to me.

From the Dubai Mall you have this view to your left and the mighty Burj Dubai on your right, quite impressive!

I spent yesterday afternoon doing a one-on-one workshop with Daniel, a keen photographer, wanting to learn a bit more about creating interesting photographs even when the Dubai weather does not cooperate. We had a quick half an hour general chat about what he was looking to achieve with his photography and then walked around Dubai Marina, looking for interesting bits and pieces to shoot.

While looking for stuff to shoot, I remembered taking some close-up photos of The Address hotel with my iPhone and I wanted to see if I could replicate these with my bigger camera. I came up with the shot below, with which I’m fairly happy. The post-processing was very simple with one curve used for contrast and the black and white conversation done with a high contrast red filter.
