Ok....it's 10.30 p.m. ...why can't I see about 90% of your galeries, images ??? is this a case of Bad Panda....or is flickr/yahoo up to something again!!
10.45. galeries gradually appearing again...not 100% though...and 10.50 you're back...weird!!

It's sometimes surprising what's hiding behind a dreary winter sky. This was taken at the Black Butte Dam overlook. Visibility was limited due to the weather but I was intriqued by the position of the rock facings and the trees and decided it was worth a shot. Backlighting and layering helped bring out the colors in the sky and then I used a texture called pink spotlight from pareeerica www.flickr.com/photos/8078381@N03/ .
There has been a lot of interest in this texture recently, so I have uploaded a version for you all to use. Select 'All Sizes' and download the original size.

You can easily replicate this yourself by sifting though all those family albums and scanning the backs of the photos!

This is what comes of self-isolation. I try not to venture out too far from the apartment, unless it is to run errands. I try to walk, both for the exercise and to save gas on the car. There aren't too many places left to photograph, so I now check the skies while standing outside my porch. Tonight, I got this nice view of beautifully textured clouds as the sun was setting. The clouds slowly moved off to the east, clear skies behind it.
