The first challenge the Tangled Textiles group was given was Games. I choose to depict the game of Hide and Seek.
I`ve used commercial, batik and hand dyed fabric, with yarn couching, thread painting, stamping, painting, quilting and raw edge applique. It was a fun challenge and you should definitely check out the other projects as they are revealed over here tangledtextiles.blogspot.com/
The famous Anchor brand which appeared as a label on the ends of the wooden bobbins of thread produced by J & P Coats Ltd.

Ajrak is a name given to a unique form of block printed shawls and tiles found in Sindh, Pakistan; Kutch, Gujarat; and Barmer, Rajasthan in India. These shawls display special designs and patterns made using block printing by stamps. Common colours used while making these patterns may include but are not limited to blue, red, black, yellow and green. Over the years, ajraks have become a symbol of the Sindhi culture and traditions.
