I am working with a few different fonts that I will route on the prototype. I have to print the lyrics on graph paper, then use carbon paper to trace the text onto the wood- only then can the routing fun begin!
Theme: Building A Legacy
Year Ten Of My 365 Project
DAY 6
On our way to another exhibition, I spot this in the facade of a house. A bas-relief in terracotta, trying to figure out what it represents, a building-master with his planner?
All in good old Flemish bricks! LOL
I wish you a day full of beauty and thank you for your visit, Magda, (*_*)

This item sounded easy and I could have made it easier but I am also trying to learn how to use PSE14
I am going to master this gradient tool if it kills me.
It's not the effect I wanted but it's a start.
The candy canes worked out good for this item I think.

Stanton were one of the biggest manufacturers of concrete street lamp columns - with production going back to pre-WW2 days. Amongst the last styles manufactured were these versions of the 'type 8' columns - here showing a standard height of 22' 6" and with double brackets ranging from 5 feet to 16 feet spans. The latter must have been quite something!

I still vividly remember the reason why I built this MOC. I was standing in line at a Walmart checkout and there were a stack of pocket Etch A Sketches. Looking at the knob on the toy I realized it was almost 1:1 scale with the 2x2 round brick and I would possibly be able to build a faithful recreation of the Etch A Sketch in LEGO.
The most challenging part of the build (besides my lack of red parts) was the grey "drawing screen" The height of the opening is a little less than 5 studs high so the 5th tile is actually partially pushed into the bottom of a 2x10 plate.
The internal support system is also a little weird and uses 4 lightsaber blades to perfectly fill a few small areas.
The "Etch A Sketch" text was added digitally, but I would eventually like print the text onto the build and take this one with me to a brick convention sometime in the future.
I am still very happy with this build and would not change a thing. I was also gratifying when my friends asked me why I was sending them pictures of an Etch A Sketch as they did not realize at 1st glance it was made out of LEGO.

Early Spring at Lusscroft Farm (1914), New Jersey. This is the back of the main barn. It was nice to see the sunshine and some new shoots of green grass. The farm looks a lot different without all the icicles and deep snow. There were some paved paths and roads we didn't even know were there before.

Earlier this month when Nikon released their D850 camera, 32 professional male photographers were surveyed on the camera’s latest features and how it would impact their work. There wasn’t a single female photographer on the list. After public criticism, Nikon released a statement revealing the details of the incident, mentioning they invited a few women photographers, but they were unable to attend, but the Internet isn’t quite ready to lay the issue to rest.
Thirty-two men and zero women is not a balanced input. When children are young, their minds are full of dreams. Every child grows up with dreams. Some dream of being artists, performers, a president, or other notable careers. Some also grow up with the dream of becoming a photographer. We have Nikon's list of 32 male photographers. In honor of Dream Day, here is Flickr's list 32 phenomenal female photographers that we'd would recommend for Nikon in the future.
