Beta is a test preview of the change that is getting ready to be implemented soon. It can be for a limited group of flickr members, intended to seek feedback and correct faults ( if any), before it is made public.

Change is good and public has always welcomed good changes. The preference for Windows XP by most people even after the introduction of Vista is a classic example of public acceptance. The public liked and preferred the predecessor ( Windows XP ) and the follower ( Windows 7 and Windows 8 ) versions of Vista. A change is good and often gladly welcomed by public, if it provides more utilities and user friendliness, without depriving even a single advantage of the predecessor.

The Beta version is unacceptable to the majority of Flickr users* ( who happened to experience it ) , because it's not user friendly and has only disadvantages to mention. *Please check the Beta feedback : Completed / Top ideas / Hot ideas

The layout itself is a disaster. Please check : Try our new photo experience beta / Comment box

However they try, it's quite evident that it's impossible to provide more space for descriptions, comment box, and comments; not to mention comments with pictures , group invites / awards. The more they try to fix it, the more cumbersome it becomes. The buddy icons now appear as dots making the page more unaesthetic than what you see in the earlier pictures of beta . They are desperately trying to make it appealing and user friendly, which is literally impossible with the proposed layout .

It's a big challenge for the programmers to try find means to provide more space in a vertical column which is already cramped.

Is it possible to make a rugby stadium inside a 100 square feet ground ?

One of the more logical signs on display as the DC stop of the 'Tea Party Express' protest tour kicked off its event in Freedom Plaza on Tax Day 2010.

Washington, DC / April 15, 2010

Many Cleveland settlers were anti-slavery and abolitionists. After the opening of the Ohio and Erie Canal, Cleveland became a destination for fugitive slaves and the bondsmen who tracked them. Before the Civil War, slaves moved through Ohio's Underground Railroad network that extended two hundred and fifty miles from Ripley to Cleveland. Known by the secret code name "Hope," Cleveland became a destination for freedom seekers making their way north to Canada. Persons seeking freedom were often aided by abolitionists in University Circle, formerly a part of East Cleveland Township. To celebrate Cleveland's story of antislavery, the courageous people who sought freedom, and the station operators who helped them, this home was saved through the advocacy efforts of the Cleveland Restoration Society, Restore Cleveland Hope Inc., and University Circle Inc. Donated by University Hospitals in 2006, the home is reflective of Cleveland's anti-slavery era and legacy of abolition.

what i like best about this one is that my fridge photographs awesomely.

These were the other two photos that I considered for the Macro Mondays Sidelit theme... I would have had to crop the pots quite a lot, but I like the way the texture really shows up on them. And I think the graphic on the one I ended up using is way more interesting than the familiar Recycle graphic here.

Ultimately chose this one:

Die Aufschrift lautete: “WAR IS OVER! IF YOU WANT IT Happy Christmas from John & Yoko” (deutsch: „Der Krieg ist aus! Die Zeile “War is over, if you want it, war is over, now!” die im Hintergrund vom Chor gesungen wird, stammt aus der Kampagne.

Es heißt darin: ‚War is over if you want it‘.

The painting is an allusion to the then rising unemployment after the reunification of the two German States FRG and the GDR.
