This is a test shot using a piece of expired Agfa Brovira photo paper in a 35mm film canister pinhole camera, which was left on an outside window ledge. Exposure here is about 2 weeks, then simply scanned and inverted, with a little contrast enhancement. Image formed purely by exposure, no chemical development has taken place.
This is the interior of the 1951 USAF Test Chart on a Canon 9000F Mk II.
The test chart was wet mounted directly against the scanner's platen glass using standard mineral oil.
Using a test chart like this is fraught with its own set of issues, but at least it's consistent.
In terms of resolution, we can refer to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1951_USAF_resolution_test_chart to figure out what the scanner is resolving.
Scanning at 4800 dpi doesn't appear to do awful things to the captured image, at least in terms of wet mounting this test chart.
This was scanned at 4800 dpi and 16 bits, then cropped and saved to a jpeg.
Next to the cottage there was an old aerial ropeway crossing the glacier-cold river. The kids were ready to test it...

August testing can be so tough! Summer vacations. Back to school time. There are a lot of distractions! So proud of all of our students who prepared and did their best at the August Belt Testing!
A quick test for the new filters.
Some teething problems as the filter sequence went starged and doubled the number of exposures. Should have been 10 x 1min x RBG. Actual 20 x 1 min R, 16 x 1 min G & 4 x 1 min B?
Just testing my "new" old lens' resolution and wonderful bokeh. Shot with Jupiter 9 85mm 2.0 Russian lens. Camera: Canon t2i/550D with M42 adapter.

The translations suck right now (just google translation) I'll finish that before I release.
This shows the contact arrangement of the test plug, the other photo shows the metric dimensions. It is used in a bit of consumer equipment to allow for testing, but it has an interesting side effect. I have the prototype and one spare plug that I am prepared to send (postage paid) to two smart individuals if they can convince me that they know, WITHOUT mentioning any manufacturer, product or trade names, what specific machine they are intended for by commenting on this photo.
I'm curious to see how long it will take for a person who knows what they are for to stumble on these photos without any relevant key words for search engines to help them.

Testing my tiger linocut. More to cut away on the black and the green and red plates still to do. Must work on simplifying things for the next print!
