I was never really into cars growing up, and even if I were, it was the '90s, so the Testarossa (or its later variants, the TR and the F512M) would never have found itself postered on my bedroom wall. As an adult, though, I'm absolutely in love with the last of the sharp-line and angular Ferraris, before the shapes became organic and curvy.
The inspiration for this build came just a few days ago, as one stopped literally right in front of me at an intersection as I was walking to the subway from work. My jaw must have hit the ground, to see it--and hear that V12--that close was awe-inspiring.
The second time i have ever seen a TR, really not my sort of car, but either way, nice can to this guy's collection!

"Other Guisval models in 1:43 scale include the Ferrari Testarossa, Porsche 959 and Ferrari F40, although they might be later releases (maybe 1988?).
It is important to mention that these cars were available during many consecutive years, so there might be versions with different types of wheels, decals or tampographies, colours, packages and so on."

Ferrari Testarossa
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"The Ferrari Testarossa (Type F110) is a 12-cylinder mid-engine sports car manufactured by Ferrari, which went into production in 1984 as the successor to the Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer.
The Pininfarina-designed car was originally produced from 1984 to 1991, with two model revisions following the ending of Testarossa production and the introduction of the 512 TR and F512 M which were produced from 1992 to 1996.
Almost 10,000 Testarossas, 512 TRs, and F512 Ms were produced, making it one of the most-produced Ferrari models, despite its high price and exotic design.
In 1995, the F512 M retailed for $220,000 (£136,500)."
"The Testarossa is a two-door coupé that premiered at the 1984 Paris Auto Show.
All versions of the Testarossa had the power fed through the wheels from a rear-mounted, five-speed manual transmission. The rear mid-engine, rear-wheel drive layout (engine between the axles but behind the cabin) keeps the centre of gravity in the middle of the car, which increases stability and improves the car's cornering ability, and thus results in a standing weight distribution of 40% front: 60% rear.
The original Testarossa was re-engineered for 1992 and released as the 512 TR, at the Los Angeles Auto Show, effectively as a completely new car, and an improved weight distribution of 41% front: 59% rear.
The F512 M was introduced at the 1994 Paris Auto Show."

I saw this little (!) gem in the car park as I was leaving the Heatwave car show at the Fairyhouse race complex, Rathoath, Co. Meath, Ireland. 28th August 2015. Not the sort of car you expect to find OUTSIDE a car show. Another stunning creation from the Ferrari stable!

Ferrari's flagship model, the Testarossa supercar revived a famous name from the Italian company's past when it arrived in 1984. A next generation Berlinetta Boxer, the Testarossa retained its predecessor's amidships-mounted, 5.0-litre, flat-12 engine, the latter now boasting a maximum power output raised to 380 bhp at 6,300 rpm courtesy of four-valve cylinder heads. Despite the power increase, smoothness and driveability were enhanced, the car possessing excellent top gear flexibility allied to a maximum speed of 180 mph.
Rivalling Lamborghini's Countach for presence, the Pininfarina-designed Testarossa succeeded brilliantly, the gill slats feeding air to its side-mounted radiators being one of the modern era's most instantly recognisable – and copied - styling devices. A larger car than the 512BB - the increase in width being necessary to accommodate wider tyres - the Testarossa managed the trick of combining high downforce with a low coefficient of drag, its graceful body being notable for the absence of extraneous spoilers and other such devices. Despite the increase in size over the 512BB, the Testarossa was lighter than its predecessor, the body - its steel doors and roof excepted - being, somewhat unusually for a production Ferrari, of aluminium. Luxury touches in the well-equipped cabin included air conditioning, electrically adjustable seats, tilting steering wheel and plentiful leather. Unlike some of its rivals, the Testarossa possessed light controls and was relatively easy to drive, factors which, allied to its outstanding performance and stunning looks, contributed to an instant and sustained high level of demand.
Delivered new to Switzerland, this beautiful example of the legendary Italian supercar is finished in red with beige leather interior and currently displays a total of 47,830 km on the odometer. The most recent service was carried out at 43,500 km when the cam belts and tensioners were changed. The current vendor purchased the Ferrari in June 2015, since when it has been serviced in-house.
60 Years of Ferrari in America
This 1958 'pontoon fender" 250 TR was delivered to Jacques Swaters' Ecurie Francorchamps. It raced at LeMans and other international events in 1958, and then was sold to Chinetti to John "Buck" Fulp, an American racer. Fulp raced the car only a few times before selling it to Texas oilman Alan Connell, who raced it for a season before acquiring a larger-engined Ferrari. A Texas dentist bought the TR from Connell in the 70's. It has been carefully restored to its 1958 LeMans appearance.
